The ideal candidate has experience supporting production OT/industrial environments and understands the accountability required for systems that directly impact operational uptime.\nThis role participates in on-call rotation, supports scheduled plant outage patch windows, and serves as a primary escalation point for infrastructure-related incidents.\nKey Responsibilities\nInfrastructure & Virtualization Ownership\nOwn lifecycle management of VMware ESXi/vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V environments. \nDesign, maintain, and optimize HA clusters (VMware HA/DRS and Hyper-V Failover Clustering). \nPerform hypervisor patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management. \nOptimize virtual machine performance and resource allocation. \nMaintain standardized templates and configuration governance. \nBackup & Disaster Recovery (Veeam)\nAdminister and optimize Veeam Backup & Replication. \nDefine and maintain RPO/RTO targets for critical systems. \nPerform periodic restore validation and disaster recovery testing. \nMaintain documented recovery procedures and DR runbooks. \nManage multi-site backup strategies, including full and incremental backups. \nNetworking & Security\nDeploy and troubleshoot enterprise networks, including Firewalling, routing, and switching/VLAN architecture. \nSupport routing fundamentals and firewall rule governance. \nMaintain secure IT/OT segmentation design. \nSupport patch compliance and vulnerability remediation initiatives. \nParticipate in firewall reviews and security hardening efforts. \nFamiliarity with industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC-UA) preferred. \nOperational Excellence & Incident Response\nServe as a senior escalation point during infrastructure incidents. \nLead root cause analysis (RCA) following outages or service degradation. \nMonitor infrastructure performance, storage health, and system capacity. \nProactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. \nDevelop and maintain infrastructure standards, SOPs, and documentation. \nAvailability & Support Expectations\nParticipate in on-call rotation. \nSupport scheduled maintenance during plant outage windows. \nSupport occasional off-hours deployments as required. \nEnsure minimal operational disruption during maintenance activities. \nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nMust have permanent authorization to work in the United States. \nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required.\n7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience in production environments. \nStrong hands-on experience with: \nVMware ESXi and vCenter \nMicrosoft Hyper-V (Failover Clustering, Live Migration) \nVeeam Backup & Replication \nEnterprise networking (Firewalling, switching, VLANs, routing fundamentals) \nExperience in managing high-availability production systems. \nExperience in Depth of network devices [Firewalls, Routers. Switches] \nStrong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, and network layers. \nExperience participating in on-call escalation rotations. \nStrong documentation and operational discipline. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting SCADA, industrial, or regulated environments. \nFamiliarity with NERC CIP or similar compliance frameworks. \nExperience with SAN/NAS storage technologies. \nScripting experience (PowerShell preferred). \nCloud and Hybrid deployments \nAutomation Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent \nExperience supporting hybrid IT/OT infrastructure. \nBenefits\nCompensation And Benefits\nThis role offers a base salary of $100,000 - $130,000 (DOE).\nExpected Travel: 10%\nOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each posted range individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher) dependent on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
