During project fitout the commissioning engineer will form part of the commissioning team responsible for inspecting and signing off on all quality of workmanship during construction and fit out of infrastructure projects. All on site commissioning needs to be verified and signed off by the commissioning engineer before the project is handed over to the operational team.\nOBJECTIVES\n1. MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB\nData Centre Projects\nCollaborate with the data centre design team to understand the data centre designs for new fit out projects as well us system upgrade projects.\nReview and approve all commissioning and system testing strategies for each project.\nCreate a commissioning plan for each project to track commissioning targets.\nCommissioning of all systems during project fit out with design consultants.\n- Electrical systems\n- Mechanical systems\n- Fuel systems\n- Fire Systems\n- BMS\nCommission all systems as per design requirements for all levels (L1 to L5).\nSign off on all quality and installation requirements.\nReview method statements for switching critical installations\nEnsure all systems are reporting correctly on BMS platforms\nProvide weekly report on commissioning progress.\nCreate and manage L4 and L5 test scripts in combination with the design team and commissioning agents.\nVerify operational system efficiencies complies to original designs\nManage all documentation on BIM360 or similar platform during the project phase (administration assistance will be provided).\nProvide Level 4 and Level 5 (IST) commissioning report for each project.\nProvide feedback to design team on challenges and ideas on designs.\nCreate safe work procedures for all maintenance to be done on all systems.\nReview, approve and provide all hand over documentation to the Data Center operations team.\nWork with and maintain oversight over commissioning agents and commissioning activities thereof.\nCompliance\nMaintain compliance in accordance to all relative policies and procedures\nSupport the HR department in achieving the organization developmental plan deliverables within agreed timelines\nMeet agreed inter-departmental OLA (Operational Level Agreement)\nH&S monitoring and corrective action to meet statutory compliance, SLAs and good business practice\nImplement company and departmental policies, processes and work instructions as per the agreed quality and timeline/ RFS\nMaintain ISO 14001 and 50001 certification, and drive action plans & reporting to achieve the objectives applicable to their respective site\nData Centre Ethics\nEnsure compliance is maintained incorporating industry best practices\nRequirements\n2. SKILLS REQUIREMENT\nExcellent technical commissioning, design and calculation abilities.\nAbility to analyse data centre systems\nMulti-disciplinary knowledge of electrical, mechanical, control, fire and BMS systems will be an advantage.\nEffective communication skills, active listener - ability to understand requirements\nProactive problem solver, perform rapid and accurate assessments\nAbility to work independently, as well as being a positive team player\nSelf-motivated\nConducts self professionally, exhibits elevated levels of tolerance and patience\nResponsible for continued learning and self-development\nQuick response to potentially critical situations\nTrouble shoot systems and components to identify root causes of failures\nImplement corrective actions promptly to mitigate the negative effects of system changes\nAdvance Microsoft Office skills\n3.
