This position partners closely with executive management to provide financial insight that supports strategic decision-making while ensuring the integrity of the company's financial records. In a small manufacturing environment, the Controller is expected to be hands-on and actively involved in daily accounting operations and to operate efficiently and consistently with the Jankel Tactical Systems Business Plan.\nResponsibilities:\nManage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, and cash management\nPrepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and management reports\nMonitor manufacturing costs, inventory, margins, variances, and job or product profitability\nMaintain internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with applicable tax, audit, banking, and regulatory requirements\nCoordinate year-end audits, tax filings, insurance reporting, and relationships with external accountants, lenders, and other advisors\nSupervise and develop account staff and partner with operations and leadership to improve financial performance and business processes\nOther duties as required by Management consistent with the JTS Business Plan\nQualifications & Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred\n7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility\nManufacturing accounting experience, including cost accounting and inventory management, strongly preferred\nStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and ERP/accounting systems-Deltek Costpoint preferred\nExcellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills\nEligible for US Security Clearance to minimum SECRET\nFamiliarity with FAR, DFARs and CAS a plus\nGDC/Teracore support, depend and thrive on differences for the benefit of our associates and customers.
