You Will Do :\n\n- Lead multiple engineering teams responsible for building and operating Teradata's next-generation cloud platform and infrastructure services.\n\n- Define and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for scalable, reliable, and secure cloud platform capabilities.\n\n- Lead the architecture, development, and operation of distributed cloud services supporting provisioning, resource lifecycle management, orchestration, configuration, automation, and platform operations.\n\n- Drive engineering excellence across the organization, including architecture, software quality, reliability, scalability, security, observability, and operational readiness.\n\n- Build a strong culture of ownership where engineering teams are accountable for the complete lifecycle of their services - from design and development through production operations.\n\n- Partner closely with Product, Cloud Operations, SRE, Security, Architecture, and Customer-facing organizations to translate business and customer requirements into scalable platform capabilities.\n\n- Establish and drive execution across multiple teams, balancing near-term delivery commitments with long-term platform investments and technical debt reduction.\n\n- Develop common platform frameworks and reusable capabilities that enable engineering teams to build and operate cloud services efficiently.\n\n- Lead initiatives spanning multiple cloud providers and regions, with a focus on automation, resilience, cost efficiency, and operational consistency.\n\n- Drive modernization of engineering processes through automation, AI-assisted development, intelligent operations, and self-service capabilities.\n\n- Establish metrics and operating mechanisms for engineering productivity, service reliability, delivery predictability, quality, and customer impact.\n\n- Represent the cloud platform organization in senior technical and product discussions and influence engineering strategy across the company.\n\nWhat Makes You a Qualified Candidate :\n\n- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant experience leading large-scale cloud or distributed systems organizations.\n\n- 5+ years of engineering management experience, with demonstrated experience leading multiple teams and senior technical leaders.\n\n- Proven experience building and operating production cloud platforms, distributed systems, infrastructure services, or SaaS platforms at scale.\n\n- Strong technical background in cloud architecture, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, containers, networking, security, and cloud infrastructure.\n\n- Experience leading engineering organizations through architecture, development, production deployment, and operational ownership of complex distributed systems.\n\n- Strong understanding of multi-tenant cloud architectures, resource provisioning, lifecycle management, orchestration, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.\n\n- Experience working across AWS, Azure, GCP, or comparable cloud environments.\n\n- Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python.\n\n- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at both strategic and technical levels, from organizational planning to architecture and critical technical security.\n\n- Strong understanding of production operations, incident management, root cause analysis, service-level objectives, capacity management, and operational excellence.\n\n- Experience driving engineering transformation through automation, self-service, developer tooling, and AI-enabled engineering practices.\n\n- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex architectures, eliminate duplicated capabilities, and establish reusable platform foundations.\n\n- Strong business and product judgment with the ability to prioritize investments across customer value, engineering velocity, reliability, cost, and long-term platform strategy.\n\n- Excellent communication and organizational leadership skills, with the ability to influence executives, product leaders, architects, and
