We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team - one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.\nOpportunity Overview\nEmbedded firmware engineering develops the embedded board support package for all Teradyne instruments and is involved in key architecture choices to select the processors, OS, tools, and network adaption.\nArchitecture, design, implementation, verification, and lab validation of Linux BSP and userspace tools for automated test equipment.\nWork with Hardware, Software, and Systems engineering to provide interfaces to complex hardware systems.\nImplement scalable, high-performance, high-quality, extensible, and maintainable code.\nBuild, deployment, and test automation of the systems you’ll create and improve.\n\nAll About You\n We seek individuals who share our passion and determination. If you’re ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.\n5+ years of experience\nSoftware coding using C and C++ (11 or newer).\nExperience with Embedded Linux BSP development (Devicetrees, u-boot configuration, building and deploying Linux on embedded systems)\nApplication development in Linux environments.\nExcellent communication skills and willing to take the initiative to aggregate project needs\nExperience with CI/CD integration.\nLanguages: Expertise in C, C++ coding and several scripting languages (Python, , bash, …) required. Operating Systems: Linux\nDevelopment Tools: GIT, Cmake, Yocto, Docker\nHardware protocols: Familiarity with common hardware protocols, such as; I2C, SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, USB...\nExcellent troubleshooting, debugging, especially debugging remote systems with multiple devices in the loop, and problem solving skills.\nExperience with Automated Test Equipment is a plus.\nComfortable and familiar with peer reviewed software development process.\nComfortable working with open source communities (Linux kernel, uboot, etc)\nExperience working in cross-functional teams designing complex systems\nBS required, advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering computer science or related technical field from a top university or engineering institution\nThis position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\nCompensation:\nThe base salary range for this role is $129,600 - $207,400. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set.
