Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support customers across Israel. In this customer-facing role, you will work closely with semiconductor manufacturers, design teams, and internal engineering organizations to deploy, optimize, and support ATE solutions.
The successful candidate will leverage technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities to help customers achieve production goals and maximize the value of Teradyne test platforms. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with a solid background in semiconductor test, device characterization, production support, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and applications expertise for Teradyne ATE platforms.
- Support customer evaluations, installations, and production ramp activities.
- Develop and debug test programs for semiconductor devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and test-related issues in customer environments.
- Work closely with customer engineering teams to optimize test performance, yield, throughput, and quality.
- Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to customers.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Identify opportunities for product improvements and communicate customer requirements to internal stakeholders.
- Participate in customer meetings, project reviews, and product demonstrations.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive and professional support.
About You
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience of semiconductor testing Industry (ATE) and hands on experience on IC component testing project development
- Must have Test / Product engineering experience in Digital, High-Speed Digital, High-Power Computing, System on Chip, Mixed Signal, or Analog testing and test development on ATE (Automated Test Equipment) platforms.
- Experience with semiconductor test development, characterization, debug, and production support.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor devices, test methodologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues.
- Ability to analyze data and drive effective technical solutions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel within Israel and occasionally internationally 25%, as required.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Teradyne test platforms and semiconductor test ecosystems.
- Knowledge of mixed-signal, analog, RF, or SoC testing.
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages used in test development.
- Experience working directly with semiconductor customers in a field-facing role.
