This role involves managing a team of designers, supervising the design and layout of printed circuit boards, and ensuring that all projects meet high-quality standards and deadlines. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in PCB design with strong leadership, career building and project management skills.\nKey Responsibilities\nTeam Leadership & Supervision:Manage, mentor, and support a team of PCB layout designers, ensuring they deliver high-quality designs and meet project deadlines.\nAssign tasks, set priorities, and oversee the performance of the engineering team.\n\nPCB Layout Management:Supervise the site’s PCB layout and design process, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and team requirements.\nReview and approve PCB designs created by engineers, ensuring optimal functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.\n\nProject Oversight:Collaborate with site leaders at other global sites to manage PCB layout and production projects from conception to completion.\nDevelop project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery.\n\nTechnical Expertise:Provide technical guidance to engineers in PCB design, component placement, routing, and layer management.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex design issues and technical challenges.\n\nQuality Assurance:Enforce strict quality control measures in PCB design and layout processes.\nConduct design reviews and ensure all layouts meet company and industry standards, including IPC guidelines.\n\nStakeholder Collaboration:Communicate with project managers, hardware teams, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure alignment.\nWork with manufacturing teams to ensure that PCB designs are optimized for production.\n\nProcess Improvement:Identify opportunities to improve PCB layout processes and implement best practices.\nStay updated on the latest PCB design tools, technologies, and trends to enhance team capabilities.\n\nAll About You\n We seek individuals who share our passion and determination. If you’re ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.\nEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in PCB design, layout, or engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or site management role.\nHands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, KiCAD, or similar.\n\nSkills and Competencies:Leadership: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop engineering teams effectively.\n Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of PCB design principles, including multi-layer boards, high-speed routing, and design for manufacturability (DFM).\nCommunication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration and client engagements. Proficiency in spoken and written English.\nProject Management: Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.\nAttention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality in all aspects of PCB design and layout.\nProblem-Solving: Analytical mindset for addressing and resolving design and production challenges.\n\nGlobal Collaboration and Travel Requirements:Flexibility to participate in recurring late-night calls with U.S.-based colleagues. These calls are expected once per week but may occur more frequently based on business or project needs.\nApproximately 5% travel.
