We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team - one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.\nOpportunity Overview\nThe Manager, Strategic Hardware Interfaces will lead and coordinate cross-functional delivery of strategic hardware interface projects involving Teradyne, selected interface hardware solution providers, and internal Field, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Procurement, and administrative teams.\nThis role is accountable for ensuring that strategic hardware interface solutions meet technical, quality, commercial, and schedule requirements. Responsibilities include program leadership and coordination, supplier governance, commercial management, hardware development oversight, purchasing coordination, sales-process support, risk management, and continuous improvement.\nThe successful candidate will communicate confidently and collaborate effectively in executive partner discussions, technical project reviews, commercial negotiations, operational planning, and detailed issue resolution.\nLead and coordinate strategic hardware programs from initial request through design, quotation, procurement, delivery, and issue resolution, ensuring alignment with schedule, quality, budget, and customer requirements.\nPartner with Teradyne’s Ecosystem Partnership team to shape vendor strategy and governance, including market assessment, vendor selection, performance scorecards, and quarterly reviews.\nManage and coordinate end-to-end execution of SEG strategic projects, including commercial engagement, quotations, sales-order coordination, purchasing, and project management.\nEstablish and maintain technical governance through hardware interface design standards, review protocols, documentation requirements, and consistent quality expectations for vendor deliverables.\nDevelop the hardware interface technology roadmap in collaboration with Field and Engineering teams to anticipate emerging customer, application, capacity, and technology requirements.\nManage supplier performance and quality in partnership with vendors, focusing on schedule adherence, defect management, design respins, cycle-time improvement, budget alignment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.\nOversee and coordinate governance of standard interface parts, including vendor alignment, pricing discussions, cost issues, and internal process escalations.\nStrengthen SEG’s internal hardware expertise through thoughtful hiring, training, technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and capability development.\nLead team strategy and planning through an inclusive approach, including team charter and workflows, mid-term priorities, responsibilities, staffing, workload allocation, budget justification, mentoring, and professional development.\nAll About You\nWe seek individuals who share our passion and determination. If you're ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.\nAt least 15 years of experience in semiconductor automated test equipment, technical program management, or hardware interface development; supplier management experience is preferred.\nExperience developing technology roadmaps and assessing vendors’ hardware interface capabilities.\nFamiliarity with hardware interfaces, test-cell solutions, instrumentation, printed circuit boards, or related electronics development.\nSound understanding of hardware development lifecycles, technical requirements, schedule coordination, quality management, and supplier deliverables.\nExperience leading and coordinating cross-functional programs involving Engineering, Sales, Field, Finance, Procurement, and external partners.\nCapabilities in commercial management, negotiation, contracts, purchasing, supplier performance, and collaborative quality improvement.\nEffective stakeholder management, communication, presentation, collaboration, and confident leadership skills.\nExperience managing, mentoring, and developing an inclusive technical team.\nPMP, PgMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable credentials are beneficial.\n.\nThe successful candidate will:\nDeliver strategic hardware solutions on schedule and within budget while meeting agreed quality standards and customer needs.\nEstablish clear, shared accountability and effective governance across internal teams and external partners.\nDrive ongoing improvements in vendor performance, responsiveness, quality, partnership, and value.\nDevelop a sustainable hardware-interface technology roadmap while strengthening internal technical capability through collaboration and knowledge sharing.\nAnticipate potential issues, make timely decisions, and facilitate effective escalation, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.\nBuild and cultivate a high-performing, collaborative team that can support Teradyne’s evolving interface requirements.\nThis position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\nWe are unable to provide relocation assistance for this position\nCompensation:\nThe base salary range for this role is $203,000 to 324,900. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set.
