Our global R&D organization of 200+ engineers builds the software and systems behind every cobot we ship.\nOpportunity Overview\nYou will join a team of talented and passionate engineers developing, testing, and optimizing the software and systems that let us simulate our robot platforms and the environments they work in.\nAs a QA/QC Engineer on the Simulation team, you will own the quality of everything the team produces - simulation software and services, 3D assets, rendering output, and synthetic datasets. Engineers, ML teams, and customers rely on simulation to make real decisions about UR cobots and MiR mobile robots, so correctness and reliability are not optional.\nThis is a hands-on role combining test automation, quality engineering, and a sharp eye for detail. You will build test strategies and automated frameworks that cover application functionality, asset quality, rendering accuracy, and dataset integrity, and you will work closely with simulation engineers, dataset engineers, third-party asset vendors, and the wider R&D organization in Denmark and Bangalore.\nYour responsibilities and tasks include:\nDefine and own test strategies, test plans, and test cases for simulation software, tools, services, and web applications.\nBuild and maintain automated test suites - functional, regression, integration, and performance - integrated into CI/CD pipelines.\nDevelop automated quality checks for 3D assets, including geometry, real-world scale, pivots, materials, collision meshes, physics properties, and naming conventions.\nValidate synthetic datasets for label accuracy, annotation consistency, format compliance, and distribution coverage.\nBuild image-based and visual regression tests for rendering and sensor simulation output.\nVerify that simulated robot behaviour matches expected results from real hardware and reference scenarios.\nDefine acceptance criteria and quality benchmarks for deliveries from third-party asset vendors, and review their work against them.\nLog, triage, and track defects, and drive root-cause analysis together with engineering teams.\nDefine and report quality metrics that give the team clear visibility of release readiness.\nWrite clean, well-tested, and documented test code, and participate actively in code reviews.\nContinuously improve QA processes, tooling, and documentation across the team.\nAll About You\nWe seek individuals who share our passion and determination. We expect you to bring a number of qualifications to be considered for this role.\nMandatory Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.\n3+ years of professional experience in software QA, test automation, or quality control.\nStrong programming proficiency in Python for building automated tests and tooling.\nHands-on experience with test frameworks such as pytest, Playwright, or Selenium.\nExperience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).\nSolid understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle, and defect-tracking tools such as Jira.\nStrong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.\nComfortable working in a Linux environment with version control and modern development workflows.\nProficiency required in at least four of the following qualifications:\nTesting 3D applications, game engines, simulators, or graphics software.\n3D formats and tools such as USD, FBX, glTF, Blender, Maya, or Houdini.\nValidation of computer vision datasets and annotation formats (COCO, KITTI, YOLO).\nImage comparison and visual regression techniques (OpenCV, perceptual diffing).\nRobotics software, ROS2, or robot simulation environments.\nPerformance and load testing of services and GPU workloads.\nAPI testing for REST or GraphQL services.\nDocker and containerised test environments.\nData analysis with pandas or NumPy for quality reporting.\nISTQB or an equivalent testing certification.\nPersonal Attributes\nCandidates should demonstrate ambition, organizational skills, and adaptability.
