You should be comfortable combining hands-on manual testing with Linux Based platforms using Python-based automated testing, while also bringing a strong understanding of ROS. If you are motivated by improving product quality through robust test coverage, fast feedback loops, and close collaboration with developers, this could be the right role for you.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, write, and maintain automated tests in Python for new and existing features of the operating system components of the Robot\n\nDevelop and maintain unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure stable and reliable releases\n\nWork closely with developers to understand the changes being made in the controller operating system layer or the network layer, investigate failures, and improve testability\n\nContribute to and improve test frameworks\n\nHelp define effective test strategies and quality practices across the development lifecycle in an agile setup\n\nBuild tests that have hardware in the loop (not all flakiness comes from software)\n\nQualification, Experience, Skills and Educational Background\nTo succeed in this role, we imagine you have a strong background in software test engineering and a practical mindset when it comes to combining automation with hands-on validation. You understand how software is built, how systems fail, and how to create effective tests that increase quality and confidence.\nSkills Required\n4 to 6 years of experience in software backend testing, software quality engineering of OS level software components, or a similar role\n\nStrong experience writing and maintaining automated tests in Python for backend components using tools like pytest and FastAPI.\n\nExperience with Penetration testing\n\nExperience with API Testing\n\nFamiliarity with GoLang and its frameworks.\n\nFamiliarity with Containerization technique (Docker, Podman)\n\nProficient with linux environment and linux commands\n\nLinux networking stack + systemd (services, journald, network namespaces)\n\nNetwork analysis tooling: Wireshark/tcpdump and nmap and traffic shaping for resilience tests.\n\nHands-on experience with manual testing of complex systems, ideally involving hardware, robotics, or integrated software-hardware solutions\n\nExperience creating and maintaining unit, integration, and regression tests\n\nGood understanding of test frameworks, debugging, and finding root causes\n\nExperience working with CI/CD pipelines, build servers, or DevOps practices such as Jenkins or similar tools\n\nAbility to understand complex systems, identify risks, and design effective test coverage\n\nExperience working in agile or scrum environments\n\nIt will be considered an advantage if you have:\nFamiliarity with ROS2, Industrial Communication Protocols\n\nFamiliarity with Firewall (NF Tables/IP Tables)\n\nExperience building or improving test automation frameworks\n\nHardware-in-the-loop test frameworks such as labgrid, bench hardware, networked power for automated power-cycling, serial console capture, etc.\n\nAutomating
