As a candidate contributor, you will be involved in all aspects of software engineering and complex problem-solving, working with different functions to define, implement, and test new features and functionality. Nextest engineering teams are characterized by deep technical skills working with both software and hardware. Our Engineers thrive in a dynamic, customer-driven, global work environment where they succeed through innovation and collaboration. Internally, we work closely with the Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and QA groups. Externally, we work closely with both our Field support organization and our customers.\nUnderstand Customer requirements and find innovative ways to incorporate those requirements within our existing software architecture.\nLearn from our most senior engineers and bring your experience and voice to help drive the next generation of Teradyne.\nCollaborate with our senior team to design and develop programs and libraries for new products.\nAssist with sustaining and extending programs and libraries for existing products.\nEngage with our Field Applications team to find innovative ways to improve customer success and solve customer problems.\nWork with the Software QA group to devise effective test strategies and identify areas to improve and resolve issues with our internal and customer-facing software releases.\nAll About You\nComputer Science degree with 8+ years experience\nExpert knowledge of C++\nStrong C++ Object Oriented design experience with a history of consistent on time software delivery.\nExperience as a Tech Lead\nMastery implementing software that directly interacts with hardware (FPGAs and ASICs)\nKnowledge of Windows and experience with Visual Studio required\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE's and the STL Library\nProficiency with a source code control system (GIT preferred)\nExtensive experience interacting with hardware designers and reading schematics/design documentation and implementing software interacting directly with hardware\nSoftware development for embedded systems, microcontrollers, and/or off-the-shelf small-form-factor devices (e.g. Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, Ardunio).\nExperience developing Windows device drivers (specifically, KMDF)\nDeep knowledge of Windows OS Internals\nProven track record of completing and delivering products directly to customers.\nInstrument design / control\nATE experience\nWe are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position. \n\nThis position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\nCompensation:\nThe base salary range for this role is $177,900 - $284,700. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set.
