This leader will be responsible for managing approximately 4-5 engineers while remaining closely engaged in technical execution, software architecture discussions, project planning, and cross-functional collaboration.\nThe successful candidate will provide day-to-day leadership for software development activities supporting compute and automation solutions. This role requires balancing people leadership, technical guidance, and operational execution to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives and customer needs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of 4-5 software engineers.\nManage software development schedules, priorities, and resource planning.\nGuide technical design discussions and software architecture decisions.\nSupport development of scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.\nEstablish team objectives and ensure successful execution of project deliverables.\nCollaborate with product, systems, hardware, quality, and program management teams.\nConduct performance and development discussions while fostering employee growth.\nDrive continuous improvement in engineering practices, development processes, and quality standards.\nMonitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.\nEnsure software solutions align with organizational goals, customer requirements, and industry best practices.\nContribute to workforce planning, hiring activities, and onboarding of new team members.\nSupport business planning activities and execution of organizational priorities.\n\nAll About You\n We seek individuals who share our passion and determination. If you’re ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.\n7+ years of software development experience.\nPrior technical leadership experience leading projects or small engineering teams.\nStrong software engineering fundamentals and experience delivering commercial or enterprise software products.\nExperience with object-oriented programming and modern software development methodologies.\nStrong knowledge of software architecture, code quality practices, testing methodologies, and source control systems.\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive execution through others.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious people management or formal supervisory experience.\nExperience in automation, test systems, compute solutions, or related engineering environments.\nExperience with Agile development methodologies.\nExperience leading cross-functional development initiatives.\n\nWe are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position. \nThis position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. \nCompensation:\nThe base salary range for this role is $165,700-$265,200. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set.
