The Director ensures that all energy infrastructure is delivered safely, reliably, on schedule, and at the lowest lifecycle cost while supporting aggressive development timelines.\nWorking closely with Development, Utility Interconnection, Engineering, Preconstruction, EPC contractors, utilities, equipment OEMs, and Operations, the Director establishes the long-term power generation strategy for multi-gigawatt data center portfolios.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnergy Infrastructure Strategy\n· Develop the long-term energy infrastructure / power generation strategy supporting a portfolio of hyperscale AI and cloud data centers.\n· Evaluate centralized versus distributed generation solutions.\n· Develop scalable infrastructure standards for campuses ranging from 100 MW to 2+ GW.\n· Evaluate lifecycle cost, reliability, carbon intensity, and operational flexibility across competing technologies.\n· Support site selection by evaluating energy infrastructure opportunities and constraints.\nOnsite Power Generation\nLead development and execution of onsite generation projects, including:\n· Natural gas reciprocating engine plants\n· Simple-cycle gas turbine facilities\n· Combined-cycle power plants\n· Dual-fuel generation systems\n· Backup generation systems\n· Black start capability\n· Island mode operations\n· Future hydrogen-ready generation\n· Small Modular Reactors (SMRs)\nResponsibilities include technology selection, owner's engineering oversight, EPC management, permitting support, commissioning, and operational readiness.\nElectrical Infrastructure\nProvide executive oversight of:\n· Utility delivery substations\n· Owner-owned substations\n· Medium-voltage distribution systems\n· High-voltage switchyards\n· Gas-insulated substations (GIS)\n· Air-insulated substations (AIS)\n· Main transformers\n· Generator step-up transformers\n· Medium-voltage switchgear\n· Protection and control systems\n· SCADA integration\n· Engineering, Civil Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related technical field.\n· Master's degree or MBA preferred.\n· Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.\nExperience\n· 12+ years leading development or delivery of large energy infrastructure projects.\n· Experience delivering projects exceeding $250 million in capital value.\n· Direct experience with utility-scale power generation, substations, transmission infrastructure, or large industrial energy systems.\n· Experience supporting hyperscale data centers, utilities, IPPs, EPC firms, or major industrial facilities.\n·
