Requires evaluating vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing procurement field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks.\nWhat you’ll do:\nWorks with operations, planning and organizing all tasks.\nParticipate in supplier quality activities such as corrective action completion.\nWorks with best total cost solutions. May coordinate and negotiate contracts with the expectation of providing purchase price reductions and establishing purchase pricing.\nReview purchase request for material via MRP or manual purchase requisition.\nInput Purchase order data via Oracle (MRP, Direct-Link, Kanban, demand).\nMonitor purchase orders to maintain delivery schedules.\nWork with Suppliers to reconcile invoices and payments.\nAs applicable, must be able to expedite critical components and overdue purchase orders.\nResolve supplier problems associated with over shipments, invoicing issues, obsolete, rework and scrap material.\nMust be able to develop excellent working relationship with both internal and external customers as well as suppliers.\nMaintain supplier relationships in order to drive cost reductions while continually achieving the highest level of quality material.\nManage purchase price variance monthly.\nReview, analyze and interpret various reports.\nBe a strong team player with ability to work effectively on cross-functional projects.\nAbility or willingness to learn to read engineering blueprints or any relevant technical documents.\nModerate technical understanding of assigned commodities.\nKey Job Tasks:\nProcurement\nBuying responsibility for one or more of the Terex Utilities product lines\nAbility to maintain Kanban’s and/or issuing PO and utilizing MRP systems to manage purchase transactions.\nMaterial Management\nMaintain inventory levels for area of responsibility\nCost Reduction\nGiven direction execute initiatives to reduce cost\nWhat you’ll bring:\nBachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain, business, operations or equivalent experience.\n2 years’ experience in a purchasing, buyer, or material planner role.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in MRP(oracle) system.\nAPICS seasoned purchaser in related field preferred.\nInternship at fortune 500 company manufacturing capital equipment/industrial products in/for agricultural, automotive, or general industries.\nEngineer to order environment and low volume/high mix purchasing experience, including MRO and production materials purchasing exp.\nAbility to interface with company and supplier senior management.\nTechnical purchasing and out-sourcing skills.\nStrong negotiating skills.\nAbility to multitask, prioritize work, and work closely with other departments.\nFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the procurement field.\nRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks.\nAbility to research and identify new suppliers.\nProject Management experience.\nAbility to read engineering prints.\nLean experience or knowledge is a plus.\nAbility to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.\nProficient computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).\nSalary: Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
