Tyrone\nJob Purpose:\nThe Nester / Programmer is responsible for creating, optimising, and maintaining CNC cutting programs using SigmaNEST software to support production requirements. The role focuses on maximising material utilisation, improving machine efficiency, and ensuring accurate manufacturing data is generated for laser, plasma, punch, and other CNC cutting processes.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Planning, Production, and Purchasing teams to ensure manufacturing schedules are achieved while maintaining quality and cost targets.\nKey Responsibilities\nCreate and optimize nesting programs using SigmaNEST software.\nGenerate CNC programs for laser, plasma, punch, and profile cutting machines.\nMaximise material yield and minimise scrap through efficient nesting strategies.\nReview engineering drawings and CAD files to ensure manufacturability.\nMaintain and update part libraries, tooling data, and machine settings within SigmaNEST.\nSupport production teams with technical queries relating to CNC programs.\nWork closely with Production Planning to prioritise nesting requirements in line with customer demand.\nMonitor machine loading and cutting efficiencies, identifying opportunities for improvement.\nInvestigate and resolve programming and manufacturing issues.\nEnsure all programs comply with quality standards and customer specifications.\nProduce accurate manufacturing documentation when required.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing department.\nMaintain compliance with company health, safety, and environmental procedures.\nSkills, Knowledge & Experience\nEssential\nPrevious experience in a CNC programming, nesting, or manufacturing engineering role.\nStrong working knowledge of SigmaNEST software.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files.\nGood understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes.\nExperience with laser, plasma, punch, or profile cutting machinery.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and manufacturing systems.\nDesirable\nHNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering.\nExperience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other CAD packages.\nKnowledge of ERP/MRP systems.\nLean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.\nSkills\nHighly organised and methodical.\nStrong communication skills.\nTeam player with a proactive attitude.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.\nResults-driven with a focus on efficiency and cost reduction.\nCommitment to quality and continuous improvement.\nThis above description is non-exhaustive and there may be additional duties in accordance with the role. \nIf you are interested in an open position but feel you may not meet all the listed qualifications, we still encourage you to apply. \nHow to Apply \nTo apply for this role and view all available positions within Terex, please visit our careers page: http://jobs.terex.com\n\nWhy Join Us \nWe are a global company, and our culture is defined by our Values - Integrity, Respect, Improvement, Servant Leadership, Courage, and Citizenship.
