We're committed to excellence in everything we do, and we're seeking talented individuals who share our passion and values to join our team.\nAs a Production Supervisor at Terex/Genie, based in Redmond, WA, you'll play a pivotal role in our current and future success.\nResponsibilities\nReviews production orders to determine types, quantities, variations, specifications, and proposed delivery of products, then schedules and estimates team member hours and materials needed to complete assignments\nPlans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes, machine and plant capability, and human resources requirements\nReviews production reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to continually minimize costs and enhance productivity and quality\nInspects machines to ensure optimal utilization\nInterprets blueprints, specifications, and job orders such as engineering change notices to team members, makes and participates in assignments, and conducts inspections of work\nDevelops measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality. Implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment and tools that improve work flow, efficiency, and team member safety\nCoordinates production requirements with material handling and participates in the “just-in-time” philosophy\nTrains new team members including work team leaders. Communicates company philosophies and policies, teaches and demonstrates work routines, and documents performance\nMaintains records of day-to-day activity including time and materials, process steps, and occurrences.\nMay set up and/or verify settings on production machines\nInitiates communications on employee relations matters such as promotions, transfers, attendance, discipline, work conditions, and personal assistance. Resolves team member grievances and problems, facilitating solutions or forwarding situations to higher authority\nConducts review of team leader and team member performance\nOversees and participates in the inspection of materials used in the manufacture Genie products\nEnters and retrieves production information onto a computerized data entry screen or a custom-designed form.\nPerforms other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications\nMinimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment\nWelding, assembly and machine operating experience in a production environment strongly preferred\nHigh School Diploma/GED\nPreferred Qualifications\nMinimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred\nStrong technical ability and understanding of Lean manufacturing principles\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints\nFexible, with strong teamwork orientation\nGood verbal and written communication skills\nDemonstrated leadership ability, including experience coaching others\nStrong math skills\nExcellent problem solving skills\nWhy Join Us\nWe are a global company, and our culture is defined by our Values - Integrity, Respect, Improvement, Servant Leadership, Courage, and Citizenship.
