This role focuses on preventing defects, improving processes, and ensuring that products meet or exceed customer expectations. The Quality Engineer works closely with purchasing, engineering, production, and suppliers to identify risks early, implement robust controls, and continuously improve quality performance.\nAbout the Role \nPromote Terex Omagh quality standards, right first- time approach and zero-defect culture and best practice.\nPromote a culture of quality across the entire manufacturing process - from suppliers to the shop floor to the customer.\nAnalyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.\nWork with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve consistency.\nSupport creation and revision of Quality alerts, control plans, inspection standards and other quality documentation.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.\nSupport lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S and process standardization\nSupport qualification of new local suppliers for castings, fabrications, and machined parts.\nCan use statistical methods to fault find & support solutions to technical issues, including but not limited to use of control plans and standard operating procedures\nBe responsible for assuring bought in products meet quality specific sign-off criteria, working with suppliers when issues arise\nWhere non-conformance exists, use initiative to introduce suitable manufacturing containment actions while working with the supply base (internal or external) & technical personnel to achieve long-term solutions for quality from root-cause analysis\nSupport day to day operations to ensure there is minimum impact to production because of quality related issues and attend regular meetings giving details of quality trends and actions\nSupport NPPD within the factory from design review stage through to prototype build. Be actively involved in every stage of the process to help guarantee its success\nAssist on customer concerns/queries\nOther responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department\nThis above description is non-exhaustive and there may be additional duties in accordance with the role.\nExperience & Qualifications:\nEngineering Qualification or equivalent experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment with quality/supplier quality experience\nA proven track record of experience working in a manufacturing environment covering both fabrication and assembly disciplines\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control and problem-solving techniques utilized throughout the manufacturing industry\nExcellent communication skills\nExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications\nDesirable:\n· Internal audit certification\n· Experience in maintaining a Quality Management System\n· Experience in New product introduction and advanced product quality planning\n· Experience in dealing with customers\nAll applicants must demonstrate through their application form how they meet the criteria for the position applied for.
