We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer, Ecotec Brand based at Campsie or Farlough, Dungannon site.\nWhat’s in it for you\nExcellent total compensation package to include competitive salary, sales incentive plan, free Westfield health care for you and your dependents, contributory pension scheme and life assurance cover.\n\nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan.\n\nAccess to global learning and development programs offering accredited and specialist training.\n\nPerks @ work - offering you a wide range of discounts and offers on restaurants, cafes, hotels, gyms, retailers, day excursions, supporting our local businesses and communities.\n\nAbout the Role\nWorking with the relevant lead engineer, the Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for the development of new and maintenance of existing mobile recycling machinery, within defined timescales.\n\nWhat you’ll do:\nMain Duties & Responsibilities:\nProvide engineered solutions for the development of new products and modifications to existing products.\n\nFollow Group standards in the areas of QFD, FMEA, design-for-manufacture, prototype development and field testing\n\nFollow Group engineering standards and associated IT systems, to ensure effective global management of released engineering data\n\nEnsure current and new products meet standards and performance levels specified for safety, function and reliability\n\nReduce manufacturing cost through improved design and consultation with the production department, purchasing and suppliers.\n\nTo investigate and address Customer Complaints in a timely manner.\n\nStay knowledgeable of machine component advancements and competitor design trends; apply latest technology to new and existing designs where appropriate to stay current and innovative.\n\nThis above description is non-exhaustive and there may be additional duties in accordance with the role.\nWhat you’ll bring:\nExperience & Qualifications:\nDegree educated or equivalent in Engineering, ideally with design experience in the mobile tracked equipment.\n\nCompetent user of 3D Solid Modeling CAD, ideally CREO, and familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems\n\nGood technical expertise in mechanical and hydraulic systems\n\nExperience of mobile recycling machinery would be advantageous\n\nA good understanding of the various applications that the equipment can operate in along with an appreciation for the expected performance of the machines.\n\nCreativity and innovative thinking\n\nExperience with Oracle TMS a plus\n\nGood English communication skill, both written and spoken;\n\nGood Presentation and interpersonal skills.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nA “Can do” attitude and ability to interact with a multi-functional team.\n\nAbility to work with others to meet deadlines.\n\nAble to assess workload and commit to realistic timelines.\n\nAble to select from multiple design alternatives when a clear best choice is not evident.\n\nCan identify risks both technical and commercial with proposed product change or new product\n\nFor more information on why Terex is a great place to work click on the link!
