{"id":997748,"url":"https://alion.io/job/terex-hgv-driver","title":"HGV Driver","company":{"id":718315,"name":"Terex Corporation","domain":"terex.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/terex","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Workday","truth_index":{"grade":"B","score":82,"open_postings":34,"ghost_share":0,"stale_share":0.912,"repost_share":0,"time_to_fill_p50_days":20,"computed_at":"2026-09-27T05:45:00Z"}},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":"junior","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Ballymoney, United Kingdom"],"countries":["GB"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":30000,"max_usd":56000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":42},"experience_years_min":2,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-09-14T00:00:00Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-09-14","last_verified_at":"2026-09-27T22:13:10Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":14,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":14},"description":"Job Description:\nPosition Title: HGV Driver\nReporting To: Dispatch Co-ordinator\nLocation: Ballymoney\nHours of work: 39 Hours, Mon - Thurs\nReporting to the Dispatch Co-ordinator at the Ballymoney site, the successful candidate will be responsible for vehicle driving, both lorries and forklift trucks, delivering goods to Terex facilities & customers.\nMain Duties and Responsibilities:\nLoading and Unloading of vehicles so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage\n\nCheck goods off with Customers and obtain signature and print.\n\nProvide excellent customer service.\n\nHandle customer issues on delivery effectively\n\nCarry out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner.\n\nDrive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law.\n\nDrive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits.\n\nLook after the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage.\n\nMaintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.\n\nOperation of all forklift trucks and delivery of materials safely throughout the site.\n\nTo operate the crane (if applicable) safely and in accordance with the correct procedures\n\nComply with fuel directives.\n\nEnsure any accidents or damage to Company or third party property is actioned in accordance with company procedures.\n\nComplete vehicle daily inspection sheet\n\nBe aware of the vehicle inspection rota for servicing and MOT and bring to the Departments attention if necessary.\n\nAttend essential training in order to carry out the driver role.\n\nTo provide support in the Yard as and when required and any other reasonable duty.\n\nAdhere to all company policies and procedures, to include Health and Safety Policy.\n\nQualifications & Experience:\n Essential\nHGV Class 1 Driving License.\n\nMathematics & English GCSE - Grade C or above or relevant qualification.\n\nMust possess an up to date Driver qualification Card (CPC Card).\n\nHave at least 2 years driving experience.\n\nHave experience transporting heavy plant and machinery and multi-drop deliveries.\n\nThe ideal candidate will be a good communicator, be able to use own initiative and work as part of a team.\n\nThey will be able to take on new challenges and will be keen to learn new skills and responsibilities in all aspects of the business.\n\nCandidates should be aware that this role will entail heavy Manual Labour.\n\nMust be reliable and have a good timekeeping and attendance record.
