By utilizing experience, knowledge of the business, hands on skill, and creativity this position will help production areas meet or exceed the customer demand. This includes but not limited to improving safety, reducing cycle times, eliminating quality issues, and reducing costs.\nResponsibilities:\nAbility to safely and efficiently program and operate a variety of CNC equipment.\nReview CAD models / blueprints\nDefine the best sequence of machining steps\nDecide tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures to be used\nGenerate program code using CAM software\nConduct quality testing and correct/improve program code to increase efficiency, quality, and safety\nOwn improvement projects to make positive changes that are aligned with the companies’ objectives.\nParticipate in problem solving activities - Engage in conversation around problems to help come up with the best possible solution.\nEngage in Team meetings\nUse cost analysis tools and other priority setting tools to aid in prioritizing projects\nUse project tracker and MDI meetings to engage other resources as needed.\nImplement creative solutions to make improvements and eliminate waste\nWork closely with ME staff to ensure products are meeting requirements.\nBasic Qualifications:\n2 Year Associates Degree (Programming and/or Robotics preferred) or equivalent experience\n2+ years related work\nExperience with GibbsCam or Mastercam preferred\nPhysical Requirements of the Job\nPhysical requirements of the job are classified as medium to heavy. Physical demand requirements are in excess of light work.
