Every project depends on accurate submissions, strong relationships with local jurisdictions, and the ability to navigate regulatory requirements without delays.\nThat’s why we’re looking for a Permitting Coordinator -someone who doesn’t just process permits, but takes ownership of the entire lifecycle and helps us build a more efficient, reliable system.\nIf you enjoy working with regulations, creating structure, and making complex processes run smoothly, this role is for you.\nThe Role\nThis role sits at the core of our operations.\nYou’ll be responsible for managing the full permitting process across our renewable energy projects in Texas-from initial submission to final approval and Permission to Operate (PTO).\nYou’ll work closely with internal teams and external authorities to ensure every project is compliant, on time, and properly documented.\nThis is a detail-driven role with high operational impact-ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable navigating regulatory environments.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nLeading the Permitting Process\nYou’ll manage the end-to-end permitting lifecycle, ensuring every application is submitted accurately and moves efficiently through approval stages.\nYou’ll track multiple permits across different jurisdictions, proactively identifying and resolving delays or missing information.\nCoordinating Across Teams\nYou’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Sales, Project Management, Scheduling, and Inspection teams to ensure projects are fully ready for submission and aligned with current requirements.\nManaging Compliance & Documentation\nYou’ll ensure all permits meet Texas regulatory, technical, and safety standards.\nThis includes reviewing documentation such as drawings, engineering stamps, and scopes of work, as well as maintaining accurate records across internal systems.\nWorking with External Authorities\nYou’ll act as the main point of contact with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), utilities, and third-party partners-facilitating submissions, answering questions, and pushing approvals forward.\nOptimizing Processes\nYou’ll help define and improve permitting workflows by creating SOPs, reducing errors, and identifying ways to speed up approvals.\nYou’ll also support system improvements and automation efforts to make processes more scalable.\nTraining & Knowledge Sharing\nYou’ll act as a resource for internal teams-sharing updates on regulatory changes, providing training, and helping prevent recurring permitting issues.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nYou’re someone who thrives in structured environments-or enjoys creating structure where it doesn’t exist yet.\nYou’re detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces without losing track.\nYou likely:\nHave prior experience with permitting processes in Texas\nUnderstand local, state, and utility regulatory requirements\nAre highly organized and detail-oriented\nCan manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously\nCommunicate clearly with both internal teams and external stakeholders\nAre comfortable reviewing technical documentation (drawings, plans, etc.)\nEnjoy improving processes and making systems more efficient\nHow You’ll Work at Terra Energy\nWe’re a fast-growing company, and while we move quickly, we rely on strong operational foundations.\nYou’ll have ownership over your area, direct collaboration with multiple teams, and the opportunity to improve how permitting is handled as we scale.\nWe value people who are proactive, solution-oriented, and focused on getting things done the right way.\nCompensation & Details\nSalary: $50,000 USD annually\nLocation: Remote (United States)\nReports to: Operations Manager\nDepartment: Operations\nWhat Success Looks Like\nPermits are submitted accurately and approved on time\nMinimal delays due to missing or incorrect documentation\nStrong relationships with local jurisdictions and utilities\nClear, organized tracking of all permitting activities\nImproved workflows that reduce turnaround times\nIn Summary\nThis role is for someone who brings order to complexity.\nIf you’re excited about managing critical processes, working with regulations, and playing a key role in getting projects across the finish line-this is that kind of opportunity.\nRecruitment Process\nInitial Contact (HR) -
