As the Retail Assistant Manager, you will drive sales through comprehensive product education, maintain industry knowledge, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will play a pivotal role in team building, aligning with our mission and vision, and coaching team members to enhance their skills. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, managing inventory levels, maintaining the POS system, and ensuring a smooth customer experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of retail operations.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nSupport the General Manager in leading and creating a culture that prioritizes employee development and customer service\nDrive sales through product education and maintaining Cannabis industry knowledge\nBuild teams in accordance with our mission, vision, and goals\nDevelop and coach Terrabis Leads to help elevate their skills and expertise.\nEstablish a culture of accountability through setting clear expectations and performance management\nSupport the General Manager in developing team schedules and assisting with dispensary staffing\nResponsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring an assortment of product, and communicating inventory action items with the General Manager\nWork with General Manager to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, including daily activities, maintenance, and employee concerns\nComplete and appropriately delegate (if applicable) tasks assigned during scheduled shift, including: cleaning of the store, bathrooms, patient areas, and break room\nCorrect cash handling and discount application when applicable\nVerification of proper paperwork, documentation, and ID for patients\nAccurate use and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system\nEnsure POS stations are ready to go at store opening\nEnsure opening and closing checklists are completed in a timely manner\nAssist General Manager in maintaining healthy inventory management processes, including deliveries, cycle counts, and verifying order accuracies\nAssist with investigating product discrepancies and maintaining a culture of compliance\nOther duties as assigned by the General Manager\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree preferred\nCannabis experience preferred\n2+ years in a supervisory or management role in a retail setting required, preference for specialty retail\nInventory control experience required\nMust be proactive, with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and strong communication and leadership skills\nMeet timelines consistently and be able to effectively work under pressure\nContinuously open to constructive, developmental feedback\nHigh level of interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, often working cross functionally\nStrong math skills\nAbility to use standard office equipment and computer software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications, and email\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS\nMust be 21 years or older\nMust pass all required background checks\nMust possess valid driver's license or state ID\nMust be able to work nights, weekends and holidays\nRemain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry\nMust be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
