No payment is released\nwithout completed supporting documentation.\nConfirm beneficiary details, amounts, and payment references before\nexecuting bank transfers.\nPrepare payment schedules for salaries, vendors, statutory obligations,\nand other approved commitments as assigned by the Treasury Accountant.\nFollow up on pending, failed, reversed, or rejected payments and ensure\ntimely resolution.\nMaintain a complete audit trail for all treasury transactions — every\npayment must be traceable from approval to execution.\nPost the day's planned payments on the Treasury Teams group chat for\nreview and approval before execution.\n\nCash Monitoring & Reporting\n(25%)\n\nMonitor daily cash balances across all company bank accounts. Post\ncurrent balances on the Treasury Teams group chat every morning by 9:00 AM.\nPrepare daily cash position reports and weekly cash summaries for the\nTreasury Accountant.\nTrack inflows and outflows and flag potential cash shortfalls to the\nTreasury Accountant promptly.\nProvide data inputs for weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts prepared\nby the Treasury Accountant.\nTrack actual cash movements against projected cash flows and highlight\nsignificant variances.\nMonitor intercompany fund transfers across group entities and ensure\nproper documentation and approvals.\n\nBank Reconciliation &\nRecord Keeping (25%):\n\nPerform daily bank reconciliations across all company bank accounts —\nmatch transactions line by line, investigate discrepancies, and resolve timing\ndifferences.\nPost all treasury-related transactions in Odoo ERP accurately and on the\nday of occurrence — no retrospective posting without Treasury Accountant\napproval.\nIdentify and escalate unidentified receipts, payments, bank errors, and\ndiscrepancies to the Treasury Accountant.\nMonitor bank charges and investigate unusual or unexplained charges.\nMaintain organised physical and digital filing of all payment vouchers,\nbank statements, receipts, and supporting documentation for audit readiness.\nSupport month-end and year-end treasury close activities — provide\nreconciliation summaries, bank balance confirmations, and outstanding items\nlists.\n\nBanking Operations & FX\nSupport (15%):\n\nLiaise with banks on operational matters — transaction confirmations,\npayment queries, statement requests, and account documentation.\nMaintain up-to-date records of all company bank accounts, mandates, and\nauthorised signatory details.\nSupport the Treasury Accountant with bank account openings,\nmodifications, and closures when required.\nMonitor foreign currency balances and transactions where applicable.\nSupport the processing and documentation of foreign currency payments as\ndirected by the Treasury Accountant.\nTrack exchange rates and maintain proper records of foreign currency\ntransactions and related bank documentation.\n\nRequirements:\n\nOND in Accounting, Finance, Banking & Finance,\nEconomics, or a related discipline.\n2–4 years of relevant experience in treasury operations, banking, cash\nmanagement, or accounting.\nExperience in payment processing, bank reconciliation, and cash position\nreporting.\nGood understanding of banking operations and financial controls.\nExperience with accounting ERP systems Odoo preferred; Sage,\nQuickBooks, or similar accepted.\nProficient in Microsoft Excel bank reconciliation templates, pivot\ntables, and basic financial analysis.\n\nPreferred\nQualifications:\n\nProfessional accounting qualification in progress (ICAN, ACCA, or\nequivalent).\nExperience working in a multi-entity or group finance structure.\nExperience in a manufacturing, trading, or commodities environment.\nFamiliarity with foreign currency transactions and trade finance\ndocumentation.\n\nKey\nCompetencies:\n\nAccuracy and attention to detail every naira matters; every document\nmust be complete.\nProcess discipline follows the approved payment workflow every time;\ndoes not take shortcuts on verification.\nIntegrity handles company funds daily; trustworthiness is\nnon-negotiable.\nTime management bank cut-off times, payment deadlines, and the 9:00 AM\nbalance posting are fixed.
