Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling financial transactions, supporting month-end close activities, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the Accounting department.\nKey Duties and Responsibilities\nProcess, verify, and reconcile invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments.\nCharge expenses to appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports.\nSupport month-end close by reconciling inventory to the general ledger and preparing inventory and cost reports.\nPerform cost analytics for purchased and manufactured materials and services across multiple cost objects.\nAct as a liaison between Manufacturing, Accounting, Program Finance, Program Management, Procurement, and Cost Estimating.\nPay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying tax identification information, preparing payments, and resolving PO, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies.\nProcess employee expense reports and verify supporting documentation.\nReconcile vendor accounts by reviewing monthly statements and related transactions.\nProvide weekly reports to management on unpaid invoices and cash balances.\nMaintain accounting ledgers and perform general ledger reconciliations.\nUphold the integrity and confidentiality of accounting files and records.\nPerform additional duties as assigned to support department objectives.\nRequired Qualifications and Skills\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.\n2-4 years of accounting experience required.\nExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 required.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.\nDemonstrated track record of meeting deadlines with accurate execution.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and able to manage responsibilities independently once trained.\nSolid understanding of accounting principles and practices related to accounts payable and general ledger functions.\nMust be a U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations.\nYour actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
