Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the AIT Technician, Cable & Harness will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, potting, fabricating and repairing flight harnesses and avionics systems. The ideal candidate should possess keen visual acuity and knowledge of quality control and ASO-9100 standards with high attention to detail and organizational skills are critical for this position.\nThis role is on our Weekday shift (Monday-Thursday) from 6:00AM - 4:30PM\nKey Duties and Responsibilities\nUse essential tools and test equipment for harness fabrication\nWork under microscope\nCIRRIS testing experience\nRun reports and download for tracking purposes\nSolder, crimp, strip, and fabricate flight harnesses for spacecraft\nPerform quality assurance checkouts on flight harness builds\nRead wire harness schematics, assembly drawings, product-specific documentation, and work instructions\nUtilize quality control methodologies while identifying components for harness fabrication and testing\nQualifications and Skills\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n2 to 4 years of experience in harness fabrication\nExperience and skills in operating test equipment used for harness checkouts\nExperience working with epoxy, potting connectors\nIPC-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 or NASA STD 8739.4 Certification Preferred but not Required\nJ-Std 001 certified\nGeneral understanding of electronic components, electronics design, manufacturing, production processes, test equipment, and tools associated with harnessing\nGeneral knowledge of bill of materials, assembly drawings, product-specific documentation, work instructions, and other general documents\nGeneral understanding of production processes, test equipment, and tools associated with harnessing\nAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment\nStrong follow-through ability to meet deadlines\nStrong verbal/written communication as well as organization/interpersonal skills\nAbility to keep accurate records\nComputer literate\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team\nAbility to maintain patience in challenging situations\nQA/QC experience\nMust have excellent visual acuity to perform detailed inspections and quality control tasks\nAbility to accurately distinguish a wide range of colors, which is essential for success in this role\nU.S. Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations\nYour actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
