Together, let’s redefine what is possible in orbit and beyond!\nTerran Orbital is seeking an experiencedEnvironmental Test Technician to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Environmental Test Technician will be responsible for environmental test processes for a wide range of components/modules, as well as spacecraft level vibration and thermal vacuum testing. This role will assist with the installation of equipment, operation and maintenance of vibrations tables, vacuum chambers, and other test equipment, process documentation and controls, and performing testing and certification of the test equipment. Additionally, this role will support spacecraft build and testing as time allows between environmental test scheduling.\nThis role is on our Weekday shift (Monday - Thursday) from 6:00AM - 4:30PM.\nKey Duties and Responsibilities\nAssemble, instrument, and test satellite flight hardware throughout development and Production. \nMonitor and assess test equipment and test hardware performance throughout production and qualification campaigns. \nActivate, evaluate, monitor, and maintain space simulation test equipment (Thermal, Thermal Vacuum, HASS / HALT, Vibration, Shock). \nAssembly, activation, and troubleshooting of custom test racks and automated equipment that interfaces with Flight Hardware. \nWork with engineering and facilities to plan, build, and activate test equipment. \nInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and harnessing, including pressure transducers, flowmeters, temperature sensors, accelerometers, and strain gauges. \nPerforms functions that include test troubleshooting, basic equipment maintenance, coordination with test engineers, and engagement with management on daily test activities. \nClean machines, equipment, and work areas according to site standard practices and management guidance. \nRequired Qualifications and Skills\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least 3 years of experience in Environmental Testing (Thermal, Vibrational, Vacuum, HAAS/HALT, Shock) \nExtensive experience with Vibration tables and Thermal vacuum chambers. \nKnowledge/experience in manufacturing and test processes and procedures. \nStrong ability to comprehend technical work instructions. \nExperience with drawings, shop orders, and detailed work instructions. \nStrong understanding with test electronic, hydrostatic, and pneumatic test equipment. \nProficient with various types of gages, instruments and measuring devices. \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. \nExperience with software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite. \nHigh attention to detail. \nAbility to work effectively in a team environment. \nOverhead crane and rigging experience. \nExperience with Manufacturing Execution Systems, Non-conformance systems, Ticketed request systems and order scheduling systems. \nExperience using and maintaining calibrated equipment. \nAbility to accurately distinguish a wide range of colors, which is essential for success in this role\nU.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance. \nYour actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
