Reporting to the Manager, Systems Integration & Test the Sr. Systems Integration Engineer will work within a multidisciplinary team to build, integrate, and test space vehicles at both the sub-system and system levels.\nThis role is on our Weekday shift (Monday - Thursday) from 6:00AM - 4:30PM.\nKey Duties and Responsibilities\nDesign assembly and testing campaigns. \nWrite, review, and execute assembly and test procedures. \nManage work orders and drive nonconformances. \nResolve electrical and mechanical issues, debugging at the satellite system and sub-system level. \nResponsible for enabling day-to-day execution of the vehicle integration and test flow. \nEvaluate proposed designs for manufacturability and integration. \nInterface with engineers and technicians to advance to larger-scale manufacturing and automation. \nDesign and develop tools and hardware to enable vehicle assembly and ensure vehicle testing abilities. \nThe position will require being hands-on and will require standing for extended periods. \nAble to work on multiple highly complex major projects requiring innovative, original solutions. \nPlans multiple projects simultaneously. Estimates, tracks, and completes project on time within budget. \nResults are key to successful completion of major projects and programs. \nIndividual Contributor. Assigned multi-responsible task areas, may assign task to associate engineers or other engineers. Responsible for reviewing work. \nIs a subject matter expert on at least one system under specialty and with a detailed understanding of how multiple systems interact. Develops innovative solutions to unique problems. Professional abilities and technical accomplishments are recognized throughout the department. \nWorks mostly independently with minimal supervision. \nProvides guidance to the group. \nWork is reviewed infrequently. Outcomes reviewed by department head. \nExercises substantial initiative and judgment in work methods and in interpreting goals. \nEffectively train people outside work group.\nAble to give effective presentations to critical and high-level customers. Effectively represent work group on review panels and cross-organizational teams. Can write convincing proposals and reports with all necessary backup material for external consumption.\nQualifications and Skills\nBachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field\nMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience\nU.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance\nAdditional Differentiators \nMaster's degree in a relevant STEM field\nExperience with assembly, integration, and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical, and structural systems, including, but not limited to, vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum, and radiation testing. \nExperience with electrical debugging of PCB assemblies, including the ability to read electrical schematics \nDocumentation and configuration management experience \nExperience writing test plans and procedures and providing go/no-go judgment \nExperience in a production environment within the aerospace industry, particularly a cleanroom with ESD precautions \nThe ability to read and write basic code in any primary programming language \nExperience using Linux-based operating systems \nYour actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
