The role will support statutory audits, group consolidation, board reporting, and continuous improvement of reporting processes in a fast-growing cross-border payments ecosystem.\nThis role is critical in ensuring strong financial governance across TerraPay’s operating and holding entities in multiple jurisdictions.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Reporting & Close Management\nOwn monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for TerraPay group entities.\nPrepare and review standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with Ind AS / IFRS / UK GAAP / local GAAP, as applicable.\nEnsure accurate accounting for: \nCross-border payment revenues and costs\nForex revaluation and settlement differences\nIntercompany transactions and eliminations\nProvisions, accruals, and contingencies\nESOPs and share-based payments.\nDeliver timely and reliable MIS, management reports, and board decks.\nGroup Consolidation & Multi-Entity Reporting\nManage group consolidation, including ownership structures and eliminations. \nOversee intercompany reconciliations across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.\nSupport onboarding of new entities, partners, or business verticals from a reporting and consolidation standpoint.\nStatutory, Regulatory & Compliance Reporting\nEnsure compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements across geographies (India, UK, Mauritius, Africa, Europe, etc.).\nCoordinate preparation and filing of audited financial statements with regulators and local authorities.\nMonitor changes in accounting standards, regulatory frameworks, and industry practices impacting TerraPay.\nAudit & External Stakeholder Management\nAct as the primary SPOC for: \nStatutory auditors\nGroup auditors\nInternal auditors\nManage audit planning, timelines, audit schedules, and closure of audit observations.\nEnsure minimal audit adjustments and robust documentation for accounting judgments.\nInternal Controls, Policies & Process Improvement\nStrengthen internal financial controls and ensure consistent application of accounting policies across entities.\nDraft, review, and maintain accounting policies, SOPs, and control documentation aligned with group standards.\nDrive automation and efficiency in reporting processes, including ERP (NetSuite) optimization and reporting tools.\nSupport finance transformation initiatives including AI-based analytics and automated reconciliations.\nCross-Functional & Leadership Support\nWork closely with Tax, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and FP&A teams.\nSupport responses to board, investor, regulator, and banking partner queries.\nMentor and review work of senior accountants and reporting team members.\nQualifications & Experience\nEducation\n Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory\nExperience\n2-3 years of experience in financial reporting or audit roles in Big 4.\nPrior experience in fintech, payments, Big 4, or multinational environments is strongly preferred.\nHands-on exposure to: \nGroup consolidation\nMulti-currency and cross-border transactions\nStatutory audits across multiple jurisdictions\nTechnical & Systems Skills\nStrong command of Ind AS / IFRS.\nPractical experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.\nAdvanced MS Excel skills; experience with reporting and consolidation tools is a plus.\nStrong understanding of regulatory expectations in payments and financial services businesses.\nBehavioral & Leadership Competencies\nHigh ownership and accountability in meeting reporting deadlines.\nStrong analytical mindset with attention to detail.\nAbility to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\nEffective communication with senior management, auditors, and global stakeholders.\nContinuous improvement and automation mindset.\nBenefits\nInterview rounds & assessments:\nTable for Two:\nA brief chat with one of our Recruiters to assess your foundational competencies and provide an overview of TerraPay.\nBeyond the Bio:\nA discussion with an RM to evaluate your role-specific knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and gain a deeper understanding of the company and team dynamics.\nLeadership Meetup:\nA comprehensive discussion about the role and responsibilities, expectations, and mapping out potential career growth.\nWhy TerraPay:\nTerraPay is a global money movement player on a mission to build a borderless financial world.
