This role will integrate environmental requirements into project planning documents, permit applications, design criteria, construction plans, schedules, and subcontract documents. \nThe position will assist in the development of the siting and the Environmental Report for the license application, implement the siting and environmental licensing strategy, develop regulatory submittals, and assist in managing interactions with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, other regulatory authorities, and industry groups. \nResponsibilities:\nIntegrates environmental requirements into project planning, permitting, design, construction, commissioning and startup, and operations.\nAssists in the development and implementation of the Siting and Environmental Licensing Project Plans\nAssists in the development, execution and maintenance of the schedule for preparing and obtaining regulatory approval of licensing submittals.\nAssists in planning, coordinating, organizing, and executing on-going siting and environmental licensing activities.\nAssists in preparing for meetings as well as preparation for submittals and interactions with the regulatory authorities.\nParticipates in meetings with team members, subcontractors, permitting agencies, and other stakeholders to advise them of environmental requirements that may affect their work.\nAssists in managing interactions and communications with the regulatory authorities.\nSupports the development of siting and environmental licensing submittals including implementation of the licensing strategy\nActively participates in industry groups and forums, implementing lessons learned and industry best practices at TerraPower.\nKey Qualifications:\nB.S. degree with a strong experience base in the nuclear field;\nSpecialized knowledge in a field of science (e.g., meteorology, ecology, biology, forestry, wetlands, archeology), engineering (e.g., civil, environmental, mechanical) or related disciplines\n5+ years of direct nuclear reactor siting and environmental licensing experience\n5+ years of direct experience with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.\n5+ years of direct experience in project management.\nThe candidate must be an excellent communicator, team oriented, willing to operate within a matrix organization and is able to direct remote team members.\nExperience working with plant design teams is desirable. \nExperience with advanced reactors is desirable, but not mandatory.\nThe successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.\nJob Functions:\nJob Functions are physical actions and/or working conditions associated with the position.
