They recognized energy access was crucial to the health and economic well-being of communities and decided that the private sector \nSenior Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting\nThis is a senior-level accounting professional responsible for supporting technical accounting and financial reporting functions across a diverse and evolving organization. This position provides technical accounting expertise and supports the financial reporting function of the Company. The role helps ensure accurate financial statements, appropriate accounting treatment, effective internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.\nResponsibilities: \nProvide support on technical accounting matters, including technical accounting memos and white paper authoring.\nProvide accounting guidance related to proposed transactions to ensure conformity with GAAP and company policies and procedures.\nServe as a technical accounting resource and help guide the organization through complex accounting issues.\nSupport the Controller’s organization on technical accounting matters and provide guidance and training as appropriate.\nSupport financial reporting processes, including assessing, implementing, and maintaining technical accounting policies.\nCollaborate with Operations, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and other departments to ensure alignment and accurate reporting.\nCommunicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.\nSupport the quarterly and annual financial reporting and disclosure processes, ensuring financial statements are prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulations.\nConduct accounting research and stay current on U.S. GAAP, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.\nEnsure significant accounting matters are appropriately evaluated and documented as part of the financial reporting process.\nAssist in preparing reporting packages for executive leadership and other stakeholders.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting and financial reporting operations.\nCoordinate with external auditors, including preparing supporting documentation and addressing auditor inquiries. Serve as a key point of contact for complex accounting matters.\nSupport special projects as required by management, including automation around accounting processes and financial reporting, due diligence, SOX readiness, and continuous process improvements.\nWork closely with the Director and other members of the accounting leadership team on complex accounting matters and financial reporting initiatives.\nKey Qualifications and Skills \nA Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.\nCPA certification is required.\nMinimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or public company environments.\nExperience supporting accounting and financial reporting in a complex, multi-business or rapidly evolving organization.\nExperience with complex consolidations, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.\nPrior experience with ERP systems; Oracle Cloud experience is preferred.\nTechnical proficiency in ASC 730, ASC 360, ASC 606, ASC 842, and other complex accounting transactions.\nStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.\nExperience preparing technical accounting memos, researching accounting guidance, and evaluating complex transactions.\nExperience with financial reporting, disclosures, MD&A, and SEC filings.\nStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting matters clearly to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively across functions and effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.\nExperience working with external auditors and supporting SOX readiness and internal control initiatives is preferred.\nThe successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.\nJob Functions:\nJob Functions are physical actions and/or working conditions associated with the position.
