The work here is highly collaborative, fast-moving, and grounded in the belief that breakthroughs happen when strong science, thoughtful technology, and great people work closely together.\nPosition Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented organic chemist to join our Resynthesis chemistry team at the Associate Scientist or Senior Associate Scientist level. In this role you will conduct solid- and solution-phase organic synthesis in a high throughput format. You will work in a closely collaborative environment to synthesize small molecules to support platform-based drug discovery and iterative drug design in Terray’s pipeline. This role will report to the Resynthesis Manager at Terray.\nThe core responsibilities of this position are:\nFollowing Standard Operating Procedures and laboratory safety standards to conduct high-quality and rapid high-throughput production resynthesis with automated integrations.\nCollaborating with both upstream and downstream stakeholders to execute synthesis schedules according to inter-team priorities and to follow up on compound deliverables.\nPartnering with R&D groups to adapt and screen high-throughput organic synthesis conditions.\nExecuting frequent compound handoffs and follow-up experimentation, including alternative synthesis routes, for multi-step compounds.\nEnsure detailed documentation of experimentation, including experimental notebooks, synthesis metadata, inventory consumption, and final purified compound information.\nExperience and Qualifications: Part of Terray's success is nurtured by a hands-on work environment where everyone is accountable, vested in a vision of excellence, and actively taking part in the success of the business. Terray supports a positive work environment where employees can feel engaged, recognized, and empowered to be creative.\nRequired Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in chemistry or related disciplines with at least 3 to 5 years’ relevant industrial / commercial experience; or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related disciplines with 6 to 10 years' relevant industrial / commercial experience.\nExtensive experience in synthetic organic chemistry.\nExperience working closely in a team, preferably with experience in a fast-paced environment.\nProven ability to work together with peers and as an individual contributor to execute on time-sensitive schedules.\nExperience with solution and solid phase organic synthesis and/or DNA encoded libraries.\nExperience with high throughput organic synthesis and datasets.\nStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with liquid handling automation.\nCompensation Details: $85,000-$142,000 annually, depending on experience. Terray’s salary ranges are designed to be competitive and are benchmarked against market base salary plus bonus within our industry and market.
