The work here is highly collaborative, fast-moving, and grounded in the belief that breakthroughs happen when strong science, thoughtful technology, and great people work closely together.\nPosition Summary: Terray Therapeutics is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the R&D Informatics team within Terray’s Computational and Data Science organization. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend systems, data pipelines, and user interfaces that power our wet-lab and computational discovery platforms.\nThe core responsibilities of this position are:\nDesign and implement new internal applications to help our wet-lab and computational scientists analyze vast amounts of data\nIntegrate commercial ELN/LIMS applications with our internal informatics platform\nMaintain and contribute to the Terray codebase across multiple platforms (data science, computational chemistry, machine learning, etc.)\nWork with both wet-lab and computational scientists to design and develop connections to our informatics systems API and database\nWrite unit and integration tests, assist with documentation, and participate in code review process\nExperience and Qualifications: Part of Terray's success is nurtured by a hands-on work environment where everyone is accountable, vested in a vision of excellence, and actively taking part in the success of the business. Terray supports a positive work environment where employees can feel engaged, recognized, and empowered to be creative.\nRequired Qualifications:\nDegree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)\nHighly proficient in Python and the PyData stack (numpy, pandas, scipy, scikit-learn, etc.)\nProficiency in Linux environment, experience with database languages, and experience with version control practices and tools\nFamiliar with AWS cloud resources\nDemonstrated ability to write high-quality, production-ready code\nKnowledge of coding best practices, including standards, reviews, version control, and unit testing\nKnowledge of API design\nExperience with building data-focused dashboards and user interfaces\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious scientific and/or research informatics experience in the small molecule drug discovery/biotechnology industry\nExperience using LLM coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor\nExperience building user interfaces using TypeScript and frameworks such as ReactJS and Vue.js\nCompensation Details: $170,000-$260,000 annually, depending on experience. Terray’s salary ranges are designed to be competitive and are benchmarked against market base salary plus bonus within our industry and market.
