You create your future and ours.\nSenior Manager, Applications\nJOB SUMMARY\nThe Senior Applications Manager provides global leadership and strategic direction for the enterprise application portfolio supporting Quality Management Systems (QMS), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Data & Analytics, and Integration Platforms within a global medical device manufacturing organization.\nThis role is accountable for the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle management, delivery, reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement of these critical enterprise platforms. The Senior Manager partners with Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Data & Digital, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, and other IT teams to ensure technology capabilities support business strategy, regulatory requirements, product innovation, operational excellence, and global scalability.\nThe Senior Applications Manager leads internal application teams and strategic technology partners while establishing strong governance, platform ownership, and architectural standards. It is responsible for balancing global standardization with evolving business needs, reducing application complexity, modernizing legacy capabilities, improving integration and data accessibility, and ensuring platforms remain secure, validated, resilient, and fit for purpose.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES\nLeadership of functional group development, direction and effectiveness by providing manager and supervisors with the tools and support to manage daily operations. \nGuidance and coaching for individuals in relevant aspects of their jobs and professional careers with continuous development toward actual expectations and staff interpersonal development in the values and behavior principles of Terumo BCT. \nEffectively manage defined set of business applications to ensure performance according to business needs and IT standards, upgrades, performance, functionality enhancements, security, validation and general maintenance. \nManage application portfolio that may include internally developed and third party software applications. \nMonitor to ensure team has appropriate direction and resources to deliver projects on schedule with high quality and within budget. \nParticipates and promotes team member participation on cross functional and/or inter-organizational teams. Frequently leads such teams or task groups especially when the scope is broad and/or the issue complex. \nAnalyzes financial performance reports and interprets implications in direct area of responsibility and other areas of the business. \nDefines and implement policies, processes and procedures for operations. \nParticipates in strategy and long range planning processes within areas of responsibility in support of business and IT strategies. \nAccountable for iterations and annual updates to the strategic plans. \nDedicated to quality client service and pro-active and responsive to client needs. \nContinual analysis of changing business and customer needs and planning organizational or system changes to address needs. \nRecommends changes to other areas that will improve overall effectiveness of operations. \nMaintains constructive relationships with customers and business entities served and ensures such relationships exist throughout the organization. \nTroubleshoots problems and develops bridge-building solutions that improve client relationships.\nUnderstands business processes and designs solutions that foremost address the business problem. \nPromotes Project Management methodology and techniques providing structure and guidance to others to reach established goals. \nChampions Service Management tools and processes ensuring appropriate implementation and utilization providing significant improvement in IT performance. \nExecute successfully the annual initiatives outlined by the business and IT reflected in the Balance Scorecard and Strategic Plan. \nMINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.\nExperience\nMinimum 12 years experience\nRequires 7 years of IT management experience in areas of responsibility and in similar roles (broad based, senior level) within a comparably sized or larger company. \nDemonstrated experience leading teams in some or all the following disciplines:Business Intelligence reporting with a preference for Power BI, SAP BW, S/4 BDC, Databricks\nQMS/PLM systems with a strong preference for PTC Windchill platform\nOverseeing integration platforms, Dell Boomi and SAP BTP preferred\n\nProven ability to partner with the business to set and execute strategic direction utilizing technology \nInternational experience, supporting and working with global organizations is preferred.\nExperience in vendor relations and negotiations.\nSkills\nRequires in-depth understanding of technology and IT tools and methods applicable to the applications area. \nDemonstrated success in leading large, complex projects within budget and meeting deadlines. \nSkilled at aligning organization and business goals, with success driving and managing organizational change. \nProven leadership and managerial abilities demonstrated by developing, coaching, and training others in an organizational setting. \nAbility to interact with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate attention to end goal. \nStrong background in developing and maintaining effective internal IT processes. \nExperience in vendor relations and negotiations. \nGood understanding of basic accounting and financial principles.\nDemonstrated ability to understand business processes and design solutions that foremost address the business problem.\nDemonstrated success with selection, management, motivation, education, and evaluation of others.\nBusiness plan development and implementation skills that clearly define strategic direction for cross functional areas within the company.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.\n-Or-\nAn equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nTypical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.
