Fruit in the workplace will support healthier eating, workshops and seminars will spice up your workdays.\nAND THOSE USUAL BITS AND PIECES- You can look forward to a laptop, cell phonefor personal use, 15% discount on shopping at Tesco, yearly bonus, health insurance and much more….\nYou will be responsible for\nCoordinating daily operations related to general ledger/fixed asset accounting.\nReviewing journal entries and reconciliations prepared by accounting staff.\nEntering financial data and transactions into the ledger.\nLeading the maintenance and accuracy of the general ledger/fixed asset register.\nCoordinating period-end and year-end closing activities.\nUsing bookkeeping systems (Oracle, HFM, Comstar) and entering information into company files or databases, ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate both for group ledgers and for local books.\nBalance sheet reconciliation responsibility (explanation of movements, issues etc.). \nReviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts.\nEnsuring financial records comply with regulatory standards (IFRS and local standards.)\nImplementing and maintaining internal controls over financial transactions.\nSupporting internal and external audits by organizing documentation and responses.\nCollaborating with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.\nMaintaining strong, collaborative relationships with co-departments across Tesco and working closely with colleagues in TBS India and TBS Hungary.\nParticipating in system upgrades and testing related to accounting functions.\nCoordinating with tax and compliance teams for reporting obligations.\nManaging documentation for accounting procedures and workflows.\nIn GL area:\nPreparation and support of statutory annual reports, and various other reports including statistical reporting for National banks\nIn FA area:\nRecord fixed asset acquisitions and disposals in the accounting System\nResponsible to identify the proper accounting treatment (capital or opex) for projects and property related deals\nOverview depreciation and amortization rates and methods as per Group policy and calculate depreciation for all fixed assets\nYou will need\nUniversity education\nMin. 2-3 years of relevant working experience\nUpper-intermediate English language knowledge\nFluent Hungarian language knowledge\nMS office\nExperience in coordinating accounting operations and supporting audits is preferred\nStrong knowledge of general ledger / fixed asset accounting\nAbility to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks\nAttention to detail\nProficiency in accounting software and systems\nAbout us\nTescooperates in Hungary since 1995 and its head office is located in Budaörs.
