For more information about our colleague networks please click here. \nYou will be responsible for\nAlthough specific responsibilities will depend on the changing needs of Tesco as a business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures:\nMaking sure everything runs smoothly by maintaining operational and safety standards.\nEnsuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are met and followed.\nLeading by example by providing an excellent experience for customers.\nOpening and closing the café and overseeing full operations in the Manager’s absence.\nRecognising and celebrating team members for providing excellent service.\nLearning our menu inside out and helping our team to do the same.\nBoosting sales by making sure everyone’s in the right place at the right time.\nDelivering Health & Safety and Food Safety training for team members.\nSupporting the Café Manager with colleague coaching and development.\nSeeking ways to constantly help improve our service for customers.\nPromoting an inclusive environment where colleagues feel respected, valued, and safe.\nYou will need\nYou will need:\nA background in hospitality, with Team/Shift Leader experience.\nA passion for providing excellent customer service.\nHealth & Safety and Food Safety knowledge.\nPersonal\nEffective communication skills.\nAbility to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.\nConfidence using your initiative to improve ways of working.\nAbout us\nWith 329 Cafes across the country and counting, our teams work closely to make sure that the customer experience is to the best standard and service; no two days are ever the same!
