He/she is a key advisor ensuring that regulatory risk is managed in the business. There is also 20% off F&F clothing, all year long, these various discounts can be extended to a family member with a 2nd Clubcard available.*\nAnnual leave starting at 23 days\nSave As You Earn Scheme*\n*Entry requirements and rules of the scheme apply\nYou will be responsible for\nAs part of your role you will;\nBe responsible for: (i) advising on data protection and privacy matters; and (ii) contributing to internal education relating to data protection;\nProvide clear, concise, timely, commercially-focussed regulatory advice to all business functions in order that Tesco Mobile can deliver its business plan and commercial strategy;\nContribute to internal education programmes, policies and procedures so that legal and regulatory risk relating to data protection is effectively managed in the business and that a culture of awareness and compliance with data protection requirements is fostered through out the business;\nPro-actively assist the business on data protection and privacy matters through participation in IT and network projects, customer proposition development, procurement, and in-life management of suppliers and business partners in order that the business can achieve its strategic objectives in a compliant manner;\nRepresent Tesco Mobile externally, together with the Head of Regulatory before the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, ComReg and other public bodies so that Tesco Mobile is in a position to positively influence public/regulatory policy;\nManage and report regulatory matters in accordance with Tesco Ireland and Tesco Group polices so that the business operates in accordance with company and shareholder requirements and maintains and builds shareholder confidence;\nEnsure that investigations/legal proceedings involving or relating to data protection are proactively and professionally managed in order that the interests of the business, regulatory risk and reputation of the business is protected;\nMonitor emerging data privacy legislation/trends and analyse impact to the business.\nYou will need\nLegal, economic or commercial/business background/qualification\nGood knowledge of, and experience of advising in relation to, Irish data protection legislation and related guidance and codes issued by the Data Protection Commissioner;\nExperience of working in a commercial or public sector/regulatory environment dealing directly with high-level internal and external stakeholders\nLogical and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving, etc.\nProven track record of influencing effectively\nAbility to work well on own and as part of a team\nAbout us\nAt Tesco, our vision is to become every customer’s favourite way to shop, whether they are at home or on the move.
