Product Manager (Access Management)
About the role
As an Access Management Product Manager, you are responsible for delivering value to colleagues and security to the business within the colleague Identity and Access Management (IAM) field, with a particular focus on access management, authorisation, and access governance capabilities. You will develop strong subject matter expertise and be seen as a trusted partner for stakeholders and colleagues across the business. As an individual contributor, this remains a hands-on role from a delivery perspective.
You will work closely with the Lead & Senior Product Managers to support, evolve and help drive the product vision & strategy, partnering with business stakeholders to shape the future direction as part of the wider business strategy. You will be involved in writing user stories, creating backlogs and setting priorities. You will demonstrate awareness of emerging trends in Identity Security, Access Management, and Zero Trust principles, and be able to communicate these effectively to stakeholders.

You will be responsible for
Supporting the evolution and delivery of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Access Management capabilities
Partnering with peers and stakeholders to help shape the future direction of the product as part of the wider business strategy
Understanding key user personas, customers, and stakeholders for the product and their pain points across access request, approval, provisioning, and governance journeys
Contributing to the performance, adoption, and effectiveness of the product and supporting delivery against Outcomes and Key Results (OKRs)
Helping prioritise work and contributing to resolving trade-offs with peers and stakeholders
Supporting the development and continuous improvement of access management capabilities, including role-based access control (RBAC), policy-based access, joiner-mover-leaver processes, access recertification, and access governance controls
Working with engineering, security, and business teams to ensure access management solutions balance security, usability, and operational efficiency
You will need
Experience working with Identity and Access Management (IAM), with exposure to Access Management, Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Provisioning, or Privileged Access Management (PAM)
Understanding of user-focused product principles, with an ability to contribute to designing intuitive and efficient access experiences
Ability to interpret customer research and operational insights to inform product decisions
Awareness of how different user personas experience access request, approval, and access lifecycle journeys
Experience writing user stories and contributing to product delivery with engineering teams
Understanding of core Access Management concepts such as RBAC, least privilege, segregation of duties, access certification, and lifecycle management
Basic understanding of how large technology systems interact, including awareness of key health metrics (uptime, performance, reliability)
Experience contributing to product OKRs and supporting delivery against them
Awareness of industry trends and best practices in Identity Security, Zero Trust, and access governance
