In this role, you will define the overall testing strategy, lead a team of SDETs and QA engineers, and establish scalable automation frameworks that ensure high-quality software delivery. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle and champion a culture of continuous testing.\n\nThe candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions: \n\nQuality Engineering: \nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.\nEstablish tools, frameworks, and best practices for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.\nEnsure quality gates are integrated into CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient software releases.\nTrack and report key quality metrics, including test coverage, defect density, regression rates, and release readiness.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and improve overall product quality.\n\nCross-functional Collaboration: \nPartner with Engineering and Product leadership to define release quality standards and testing strategies.\nWork closely with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into deployment pipelines.\nCoordinate with Support and Incident Response teams to investigate production issues and drive root cause analysis.\nParticipate in architecture and design discussions to ensure testability and maintainability of applications.\n\nRequirements: \n6-9 years of experience in Software Testing, QA Automation, or SDET roles.\nPrior leadership or team management experience (mandatory for Lead role).\nStrong programming skills in one or more of the following: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python\nProven experience designing, building, and maintaining robust automation frameworks.\nStrong understanding of test automation methodologies and software quality best practices.\nExperience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.\nAbility to mentor engineers and drive quality initiatives across multiple teams.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \nExperience scaling QA or SDET teams.\nExposure to fintech, ride-hailing, e-commerce, or other high-scale consumer platforms.\nExperience with performance, API, and end-to-end automation testing.\nFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.\nKnowledge of cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices is a plus.\n\nGood to Have: \nA quality-first
