Teserac is building Neuron™, an AI-native observability and automation platform that gives those teams full visibility into their power operations and helps them get ahead of problems. At its core is an AI teammate that works alongside every operator around the clock: detecting anomalies, correlating events, and recommending what to do next.\nAs a Full Stack Developer, you'll own features end to end, from the ingestion path that pulls telemetry off a BMS in a live facility, through the time-series layer that stores it, to the dashboard an operator is watching at 2am.\nThis is a small team with real customers in production. Your code ships in days, not quarters, and it runs in facilities where being wrong has physical consequences. You'll work directly with the Principal Software & Architecture Lead, Product, and Solution Engineering. We move fast, avoid bureaucracy, and expect engineers to own outcomes rather than tickets.\nThis is a hybrid role based in our Santa Clara office, and visa sponsorship is available.\nWho We Are Looking For\nYou're a full-stack engineer who is comfortable on both sides of the line, and who gets interested rather than annoyed when the data is messy, the vendor's API is undocumented, and the protocol spec is a PDF from 2009. You likely:\nBuild front to back. You can trace a value from a Modbus register to a rendered chart without handing off, and you know where it's likely to break.\nTake databases seriously. You know that a query plan, an index, and a migration on a large table are engineering decisions, not configuration.\nHave worked with real time-series data at a volume where naive approaches stop working, and understand what that costs at read time and write time.\nDebug production calmly. When CPU is pinned and a queue is backing up, you reason from evidence rather than restarting things.\nUse AI tooling well. You get real leverage from Cursor, Claude Code, or similar, and your standards didn't drop when you started using it.\nWhat You'll Do\nProduct and front end\nBuild operator-facing features for Neuron™ in React and TypeScript: real-time dashboards, alerting, alarm and ticket workflows, capacity planning views, and power-flow visualizations.\nBuild the interfaces the AI teammate works through: interaction panels, recommendation displays, approval workflows, and audit trails.\nKeep large, data-dense views fast and responsive across devices.\nData ingestion and integrations\nBuild and maintain the ingestion path that brings telemetry from customer sites into Neuron™: edge collectors, MQTT over AWS IoT Core, queue-based workers, and normalization into a canonical metric model.\nWrite integration modules against real building and power systems: Siemens Desigo, Schneider PME and EcoStruxure, Niagara, Eaton, and generic BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP sources.\nOwn the correctness of what lands: point mapping, unit and phase semantics, deduplication, and backfill.\nTime-series platform\nDevelop against PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB: hypertables, continuous aggregates, compression, and retention.\nDesign schema and migrations that stay safe as tables grow into the billions of rows.\nFind and fix the performance problems that only appear with real customer data volumes.\nQuality and operations\nWrite tested, reviewed code, and contribute to CI/CD and automated testing.\nTroubleshoot production issues across the stack, and share on-call as the platform scales.\nWhy Teserac\nWe're not building incremental improvements to legacy tools. We're re-architecting how data centers see, understand, and act on their own operations.\nShip features that directly shape how some of the world's most critical AI infrastructure is powered and managed.\nJoin a small engineering team where every developer has outsized impact and direct visibility into product decisions.\nWork where AI, real-time systems, and physical infrastructure meet.\nGrow with the company from Series A through scale.\nRequirements\nRequired\n7+ years building and shipping production software across the stack\nStrong Python, ideally Django. Our backend is Django and Celery, and it's the language you'll write most days.\nStrong PostgreSQL: schema design, query performance, and migrations you'd run against a live production database\nPractical time-series experience. TimescaleDB is ideal, and deep experience with another time-series or high-volume streaming store transfers.\nSolid React and TypeScript, and the judgment to keep a data-heavy interface fast\nExperience with asynchronous and event-driven systems: task queues, pub/sub, streaming, or WebSockets\nComfortable on AWS. We run ECS Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache, and IoT Core.\nAble to work independently, define your own scope from a rough requirement, and ship\nPreferred\nIndustrial or IoT telemetry experience: BMS, EPMS, DCIM, SCADA, or similar OT data sources\nHands-on experience with industrial protocols: BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, or vendor BMS APIs\nData center infrastructure familiarity: power distribution topology, UPS and PDU behavior, or PUE\nExperience building observability or monitoring products, commercial or internal\nEarly-stage startup experience, Seed through Series B\nNobody checks every box here. If some of these describe you, apply.\nBenefits\nBase salary: $180,000-$230,000, plus stock options.\nHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)\nRetirement Plan (401k, IRA)\nPaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)\nFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)\nTraining & Development\nWork From Home\nFree Food & Snacks\nStock Option Plan\n How We Hire\nOur process usually includes a phone screen, a technical assessment, a conversation with the hiring manager, and an in-person interview loop in Santa Clara.","description_format":"text","description_chars":5859,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["401k plan","Parental leave","Retirement plans","Stock options"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Data Centers & Colocation","Energy Management","Observability & APM"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-06T05:37:21Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 1","filings_12m":1,"filings_prev_12m":0,"green_card_filings_12m":0,"median_offered_wage_usd":167500,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-03T21:08:04+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":21,"reasons":["conf:0","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-06T05:45:30Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/teserac-full-stack-developer-2","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/teserac-full-stack-developer-2.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-07T00:55:17Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1519,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3481,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-08T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":688810},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=688810"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fteserac-full-stack-developer-2"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fteserac-full-stack-developer-2"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fteserac-full-stack-developer-2"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/teserac-full-stack-developer-2\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fteserac-full-stack-developer-2"}]}
