We take pride in fostering a culture that values family, professional growth, and long-term career development-setting us apart from other services companies.\nRequirements\nTesla Laboratories is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support Design Technical Support (DTS) services for the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Northwest (NAVFAC NW), Planning Design and Construction Directorate, Design Division (PDC4). This position supports the existing NAVFAC workforce and provides increased capability for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects and associated efforts undertaken by NAVFAC\nPerform mechanical engineering tasks, including:\nDesign heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and plumbing systems for new construction and renovation projects with construction costs exceeding $20M, or design petroleum, oil, and lubricant (POL) systems on projects with construction amounts exceeding $10M.\nDesign a wide variety of HVAC systems/equipment, including variable primary chilled water systems, air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers, split D-X, unitary, DOAS, VAV, HVAC controls, and VRF systems.\nDesign a wide variety of plumbing systems, including domestic cold and hot water heating systems, compressed air, and medical gas systems.\nApply DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and use AutoCAD 2022 and Revit 2021.\nIn addition, the Mechanical Engineer will:\nCoordinate with team members to execute project scope, create/manage schedules, and track/brief budget execution in conformance with project and customer requirements.\nCreate project technical dashboard reports via Microsoft software (Power BI, Project, Excel, etc.).\nFacilitate the minimization of project delays by providing technical reviews and recommendations within predetermined timeframes.\nResearch codes, guidance, policies, procedures, processes, criteria, and federal laws/regulations, and provide sound technical recommendations both verbally and in writing.\nApply innovative technical principles, practices, and theories to the resolution of technical issues.\nCoordinate with the Government client, NAVFAC team members, leadership, project stakeholders, and various regulatory agencies.\nCoordinate and facilitate meetings, make recommendations based on project requirements, coordinate workflow processes, schedule/coordinate Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs), and effectively communicate findings to project personnel;
