We move fast, operate with extreme ownership, and build at the frontier of applied AI.\nAbout the Team\nThe AI Infrastructure team builds and operates the foundational AI agent infrastructure that lets Tessera run reliably, securely, and consistently across customer environments. This includes a portable cloud infrastructure that makes each environment production-ready: container orchestration (Kubernetes), networking, and automation that ensures our product behaves the same regardless of the underlying cloud provider.\nThis is a high-impact role because it directly enables our ability to onboard and operate enterprise customer environments under strict security and compliance constraints while preserving developer velocity. The work reduces integration risk, standardizes operational practices across hyperscalers, and ensures product teams can ship safely without infrastructure becoming a bottleneck.\nThe Role\nAs an AI Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll design and own production-grade AI agent infrastructure that supports Tessera’s AI systems across multiple cloud providers. You’ll work on everything from Kubernetes and Terraform to observability, security, and reliability with real ownership over architectural decisions.\nThis is a hands-on, senior IC role for someone who enjoys thinking deeply about systems and building AI agent infrastructure the right way.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign, build, and maintain production-grade AI agent infrastructure\n\nBe part of a team that supports Tessera’s AI infrastructure across every cloud provider\n\nBuild and be the primary owner of the Azure or Oracle Cloud variant of Tessera’s cloud infrastructure, also support GCP and AWS.\n\nEnable portable infrastructure across customer environments\n\nImprove observability, security, and system reliability\n\nDeploy and operate applications using Kubernetes and Terraform\n\nPartner closely with product and platform engineers to unblock delivery\n\nDesign and build CI/CD pipelines, own the end-to-end automation of build, test, and deployment workflows for both infrastructure and application code\n\nBuild and maintain a reusable automation framework for day-to-day DevOps and developer workflows, covering environment provisioning, secret rotation, dependency updates, compliance checks, and release management\n\nAutomate operational runbooks and recurring processes, identify manual work across the engineering org and systematically eliminate it through scripts, pipeline stages, and self-service tooling\n\nChampion an automation-first mindset across the team, if something is done twice, it should be automated; if it's automated, it should be observable and maintained like production code\n\nMust-Have Qualifications\n10-15+ years experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Terraform\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Kubernetes\n\nStrong hands-on experience in Azure, Oracle Cloud, GCP or AWS\n\nProven track record designing and owning CI/CD systems, pipeline architecture, GitOps-driven deployments, release automation, and pipeline-as-code practices expanded\n\nExperience building automation frameworks for DevOps and developer workflows, including scripting (Bash, Python, or similar), workflow orchestration, and self-service tooling that reduces manual intervention across engineering processes expanded\n\nStrong networking fundamentals\n\nProven experience deploying and operating real production systems\n\nNice-to-Have Qualifications\nExperience with FluxCD or other GitOps controllers (ArgoCD, etc.)\n\nUnderstanding of cloud security and DevSecOps, integrating security gates, SBOM generation, and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines\n\nA passion (and curiosity) about clean, unified infrastructure and best practices\n\nExperience with software development and SDLC and a
