The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, debugging, and validating WLAN features across Wi-Fi chipsets, devices, and embedded platforms.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Develop and execute WLAN/Wi-Fi test plans, test cases, and validation strategies.\n\n- Perform functional, integration, regression, interoperability, performance, and stability testing of WLAN features.\n\n- Work on Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Wi-Fi 6/6E (802.11ax), and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) technologies.\n\n- Validate WLAN protocols including 802.11 MAC/PHY, WPA/WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, WMM, QoS, roaming, and security features.\n\n- Perform testing across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands.\n\n- Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and test scripts for WLAN validation.\n\n- Analyze logs, packet captures, and test results to identify issues and perform debugging, triage, and root-cause analysis.\n\n- Use tools such as Wireshark, QXDM/QCAT, WLAN sniffers, spectrum analyzers, and traffic generators.\n\n- Validate throughput, latency, packet loss, connectivity, roaming, coexistence, and network stability.\n\n- Test WLAN interoperability with different APs, routers, chipsets, clients, and network configurations.\n\n- Collaborate with firmware, driver, system, and hardware teams to troubleshoot WLAN issues.\n\n- Reproduce customer and field issues and provide detailed defect reports with logs and analysis.\n\n- Participate in feature development, integration, debugging, and release validation.\n\n- Automate repetitive test scenarios and continuously improve WLAN validation processes.\n\nRequired Skills :\n\n- Strong experience in WLAN/Wi-Fi testing and development.\n\n- Good understanding of IEEE 802.11 protocols.\n\n- Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi 6/6E and/or Wi-Fi 7.\n\n- Strong knowledge of WLAN architecture, MAC/PHY concepts, networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, ARP, and IPv4/IPv6.\n\n- Experience with Linux/Embedded Linux environments.\n\n- Good programming/scripting skills in Python and preferably C/C++.\n\n- Experience with Wireshark and packet-level debugging.\n\n- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and RCA skills.\n\n- Experience with WLAN automation and validation frameworks.\n\n- Knowledge of WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, WMM/QoS, MIMO, OFDMA, MU-MIMO, beamforming, roaming, and channel management.\nSkills\nWLAN, Python, Embedded System, WiFi, Embedded Testing, C, C++, MAC Layer, Physical Verification, Chipset, DHCP","description_format":"text","description_chars":2601,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-30T10:00:44Z"}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":24,"reasons":["seen:0","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T04:25:25Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/tessolve-wlan-testing-development-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/tessolve-wlan-testing-development-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T04:25:25Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3727,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1273,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
