The\nenvironment leverages Microsoft 365 security services, including Defender for\nOffice 365, Defender for Cloud and Defender for Endpoint.\nThe organisation is\nseeking Cloud Architect to support the ongoing development, management and\nsecurity of its Azure environment. Responsibilities include optimising existing\ncloud infrastructure, implementing best-practice architecture, strengthening security\ncontrols and ensuring alignment with NIS2, Irish NCSC guidance and public\nsector cybersecurity requirements.\nThe scope covers the\norganisation's Azure cloud environment, with coordination required with\nexternal ICT providers where cross-tenant integrations or dependencies arise.\nNature\nof the Services Required:\nThe Cloud Architect will assist the Office through services not limited to;\n·Responsible for aligning the organisation Cloud strategy with its\nbusiness strategy. \n·Creation, maintenance and management of Cloud architecture models and\ntheir components. \n·Developing Infrastructure, network and security designs for new and\nexisting solutions.\n·Devising code release management and process improvements\n·Maintaining and creating CI/CD pipelines\n·Improving performance management and monitoring of applications and\nresources, as needed\n·Deploying guard-rails and security ring-fencing for artificial\nintelligence agents and /or agentic solutions, in accordance with best\npractices and Office policy.\n·Participating in data solution design discussions\nKey Responsibilities:\nMinimum Requirements (Mandatory)\nIt is a mandatory requirement, that the Resource\nproposed must have:\n·at minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as a qualified Azure Cloud\nSolutions Architect on Microsoft technologies, providing clear evidence of\nsupporting similar scale Microsoft cloud ecosystems \n·skillsets in Microsoft Azure cloud solutions development and deployment,\nwith secure access over Office 365, Exchange Online, Azure Entra ID, MS\nDefender and integrations with PowerPlatform / Dynamics 365 application\nstack. \n·Experience of working in conjunction with and/or as part of public/civil\nservice ICT cloud systems development and deployment teams. \n·Experience of delivering Cloud Architecture services and solutions using\narchitecture/SDLC methodologies\nQualifications\nIt is a mandatory requirement, that the Resource\nproposed hold the following qualifications or equivalents:\n·Certified Computer Science or associated technology qualification \n·Microsoft Certified Professional (Expert), or more recent\nequivalent \n·Microsoft Azure Security Architect, or more recent equivalent \n·Microsoft Azure Security Engineer, or more recent equivalent \n·Microsoft Certified DevOps Solution Specialist \n·Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, or more recent\nequivalent \n·Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, or more recent equivalent\nLanguage Requirements\n·Fluent English language skills (C2 Proficient)\nRequirements\nKey Deliverables\nThe following\nnon-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role.\n·Performing Security assessments and design for Cloud\nnative security products\n·Performing Cloud adoption assessment and well\narchitected assessment for existing environment for gap analysis\n·Performing feasibility assessments with the Office and\ndeveloping proposals / statements of work against business requirements\n·Clear in communication, customer facing roles\n·Experience in managing Microsoft Technologies\nimplementation/migration projects for both cloud and on-premises\n·Working in multi-vendor and multi-business unit\nenvironments\n·Experience in design, development and implementation\nof Client Dashboards\n·Design, deploy, maintain and support of Hybrid\nInfrastructure estate across Azure Cloud, Office 365 and OGCIO-BTS federated\nservices.\n·Ensure ICT ecosystem and environment aligned with\nOMB-ICT and OGCIO-BTS security strategies and policies.\n·Clear in communication, customer facing roles.\n·Experience in managing Microsoft Azure ecosystem\ntechnologies and co-ordination in cloud-native implementation / migration\nprojects.\n·Working in multi-vendor and cross-business transformation projects /\nprograms.\n·Leading design workshops and ROI analysis for\nenterprise architecture development\n·Leading and implementing end-to-end solutions for\nsecure applications and cloud portal platforms\n·Understanding business requirements, perform gap\nanalysis, problem solving, requirement mapping, solution designing,\nimplementing, and customizing the product/solutions as per business\nrequirements.\n·Strong knowledge of Azure and AWS Infrastructure as a\nservice (IaaS) and Platform as a service (PaaS).\n·Strong Knowledge of Microsoft security stack\nimplementations and design\n·Experience in designing available, cost-efficient,\nfault-tolerant and scalable distributed systems on MS Azure ecosystem\n·Experience with designing public cloud landing-zones\nfor public-sector specific customer bases.\n·Capability to provide best practices for building\nsecure and reliable applications on the MS Azure platform.\n·Identifying appropriate use of Azure and possibly AWS\narchitectural best practices, especially in failover / resilience scenarios.\n·Responsible for the architecture and automation of the\nCI/CD platform and cloud infrastructure and review of cloud efficiencies\n(reporting).\n·Maintaining consistent DevOps approach, tools and\nstandards, ensuring the Office’s DevOps strategy is implemented at every stage\nof the end-to-end development\n·Assist in building version-control systems, branching\nstrategies and have implemented same across life cycle of products/solutions.\n·Expert at automation for cloud infrastructure from\nautomating machine images to setting up of immutable instances and promoting\ncode from dev to QA to Production.\n·Experience with deploying and managing applications\nand infrastructure with scripting and infrastructure as a code on public cloud.\n·Estimating Azure/AWS costs and identifying cost\ncontrol mechanisms in the context of cloud-based
