DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to building and scaling a reliable infrastructure for our SaaS platform. You'll be responsible for managing private servers, automating systems, maintaining our in-house inventory, and supporting our data centre setup while also contributing to the improvement of deployment processes and system reliability. You will be part of a cross-functional team where innovation, automation, and continuous improvement are part of the daily work culture.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure for SaaS applications.
• Maintain and automate infrastructure provisioning and monitoring systems.
• Manage private servers and assist with data centre setup and optimisation.
• Handle in-house inventory and infrastructure asset tracking.
• Support VMware environments and virtualised infrastructure management.
• Collaborate on network configuration and basic networking issue resolution.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices.
• Ensure system security, availability, and performance across environments.
• Support production and non-production environments with incident response and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• 2.5 to 4 years of experience in a DevOps role, preferably in a SaaS product company.
• Hands-on experience with VMware software and managing virtual infrastructure.
• Experience in maintaining in-house infrastructure and hardware inventory.
• Exposure to data centre setup and managing private server environments.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, routing, and firewalls.
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, etc.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and monitoring tools like Nagios.
• Cloud experience (AWS/OpenStack) - including services like EC2 VPC, S3 Lambda, CloudWatch, RDS, etc.
• Working knowledge of Linux OS and services.
• Experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MSSQL.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear communication and a collaborative mindset.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Good to Have:

• Exposure to container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Docker.
• Basic knowledge of Firewatch or equivalent monitoring/logging solutions.
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
