You will play a key role in setting direction and\nensuring the successful delivery of architecturally significant outcomes for our APIdriven initiatives.\nWhat You'll Do:\nArchitectural Strategy: Accountable for all architectural decisions within\nthe API Lab's Marketplace platform, leading and mentoring a small team of\narchitects.\nStrategic Roadmaps & Delivery: Guide, challenge, and support product\nand engineering teams in developing and delivering robust and future-proof\nstrategic roadmaps for the Marketplace.\nBusiness & Technology Alignment: Act as a key liaison between\nbusiness stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring solution delivery aligns\nperfectly with business needs and priorities for the Marketplace.\nStakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture trusted relationships across\nplatforms, functions, and third-party vendors.\nSolution Shaping & Innovation: Leverage your insights to shape\ninnovative business propositions, influence vendor products, and foster\nstrategic industry partnerships to enhance our Marketplace offering.\nTechnical Leadership: Drive architectural outcomes for a mid to large\norganization, actively participating in and influencing architectural forums and\ndesign reviews.\nCloud Architecture Leadership (GCP Focus): Lead the design and share\nimplementation plan of cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions, with a strong\nemphasis on GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and its associated resources. While\nAzure experience is a plus, a deep understanding of GCP concepts and best\npractices is essential. You will clearly explain complex cloud concepts to diverse\naudiences and facilitate their adoption.\nModern API Strategy: Champion and implement robust REST API design\nprinciples and best practices for the Marketplace and broader API ecosystem,\nensuring secure, scalable, and performant integrations.\nEmerging Technologies: Maintain a keen awareness of emerging\ntechnologies, including GenAI, understanding their maturity, potential business\napplications, and alignment with our long-term strategy for the Marketplace.\nContinuous Improvement & Innovation: Foster a culture of continuous\nimprovement and drive innovation within your domain and across the API Lab.\nNon-Functional Excellence: Design systems with a strong appreciation for nonfunctional considerations (e.g., performance, scalability, security, resilience,\nsustainability) relevant to established, complex organizations with large\ncustomer bases.\nWhat You'll Need:\nExtensive Solution Architecture Experience: Proven breadth of\nexperience in solution architecture, specifically within an API-first\nenvironment or digital platform context, with a focus on Marketplace\nplatforms or similar multi-tenant systems.\nGCP Cloud Expertise (Essential): Deep knowledge and hands-on\nexperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its associated services (e.g.,\nCompute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery,\nCloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Apigee). Experience with Azure or AWS is desirable\nbut GCP is paramount. You can clearly articulate cloud concepts and guide\nimplementation.\nREST API Mastery (Essential): Strong expertise in designing, developing,\nand managing RESTful APIs, including API security, versioning, documentation\n(e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger), and API gateway solutions (e.g., Apigee).Extensive\nexperience designing, developing, governing, and scaling enterprise API\necosystems.
