We believe close collaboration between a hard working, high agency team enables the fastest and most efficient iteration cycles, helping us build an impactful product that healthcare professionals truly love to use.\nThe Job\nWe are looking for a strong backend engineer to help scale the core infrastructure powering Teton’s platform.\nOur systems ingest and process continuous streams of real-time data from thousands of deployed edge devices across care facilities. These systems power critical alerts and operational workflows used by healthcare staff around the clock.\nYou will work across:\nDistributed data ingestion systems\n\nReal-time event pipelines\n\nAPIs and backend services\n\nDatabases and storage systems\n\nMQTT infrastructure and edge communication\n\nReliability, observability, and system performance\n\nCloud infrastructure and deployment architecture\n\nQualifications:\nWe care more about engineering ability and ownership than specific credentials, but strong candidates will likely have experience with several of the following:\nBuilding and operating large-scale backend or distributed systems\n\nDesigning reliable real-time data pipelines\n\nWorking with event-driven architectures and asynchronous systems\n\nScaling APIs and services handling high-throughput workloads\n\nOperating production infrastructure with strong reliability requirements\n\nDatabase design and performance
