The role translates corporate data management governance standards into practical EU Commercial execution and connects business domains, local markets, the EU Commercial Data Lake, Data Quality and IT.\nThe role combines three pillars: Data Governance Standards, Data Foundation Stewardship, and centralized EU Data Operations. It establishes clear accountability, maintains trusted and harmonized data, resolves data issues, enables business adoption and coordinates repeatable data-management activities centrally while engaging markets where local context is required.\nHow You’ll Spend Your Day\nCore Accountabilities\nEstablish ownership, accountability and standards for Commercial EU data foundation.\nCreate a common data language across EU markets and domains.\nOversee harmonized master and reference values.\nEnsure trusted, business-ready data through proactive quality management.\nProvide operational governance and coordinated issue resolution.\nEnable adoption, AI readiness and measurable value realization.\nCentralize repeatable data-management execution while preserving necessary market expertise.\nData Governance\nEstablish business accountability, data ownership and data-quality ownership for assigned domains and assets.\nCoordinate the governance of Critical Data Elements, standards, decision rights and escalation paths.\nTranslate enterprise policies and methodologies into practical EU Commercial governance processes.\nManage governance forums, stakeholder onboarding, training and reporting on governance maturity.\nMetadata & Business Glossary\nDevelop and maintain business metadata, glossary terms, definitions, classifications and ownership information.\nConnect business terms and Critical Data Elements to datasets, fields and data products in the data catalog and data marketplace.\nEnsure metadata remains complete, accurate and searchable throughout the asset lifecycle.\nReference Data & Business Enablement\nGovern reference values, hierarchies, lookup tables and mappings across EU markets and domains.\nCoordinate controlled maintenance, approvals, versioning and impact assessments for reference-data changes.\nHarmonize definitions and mappings centrally while involving markets where local knowledge is required.\nEnsure governed data is understandable, discoverable and reusable for reporting, analytics, data products and AI.\nData Quality & Issue Management\nDefine and monitor business-driven data-quality rules for critical and business-relevant data.\nAssess and prioritize quality exceptions and data issues based on impact, criticality and recurrence.\nCoordinate remediation across markets, source owners, Data Quality, IT, vendors and Data Lake operations.\nTrack issues through validation and closure, communicate relevant limitations and escalate unresolved or recurring risks.\nYour Skills and Experience\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in data management, information management, business informatics, technology, life sciences, or another relevant discipline.\n5+ years of experience working with data in a business-domain, analytics, data-management, governance or operations context.\nPractical experience with metadata, data quality, reference or master data, data issue management, data products or data operations.\nExperience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and driving outcomes without direct authority.\nExperience in a multi-market or international environment; commercial or pharmaceutical data experience is an advantage.\nFamiliarity with data catalogs, governance and quality tooling; Informatica Cloud and Databricks experience are advantages.\nStrong understanding of metadata, business glossary, lineage, Critical Data Elements, data-quality dimensions, reference data and data products.\nAbility to translate between business, market and technical language and make complex data topics actionable.\nStructured analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, prioritization and problem-solving skills.\nStrong facilitation, stakeholder-management and written communication skills.\nAbility to balance EU harmonization with justified local-market requirements.\nOperational discipline in maintaining decisions, mappings, issues, controls and handovers.\nContinuous-improvement mindset with a focus on automation, reuse and scalable execution.\nHow We’ll Take Care of You\nAt Teva, better health starts from within, and that includes you.
