The Warehouse Operator I is also responsible for meeting the company’s standards for safety, security and productivity. Because employees in classifications at this level may be in a training capacity, such individuals do not require significant work experience in the applicable field.\nShift Details: This position requires availability for the second shift, starting at 6pm -close Monday-Thursday (Non-negotiable). Weekly hours can vary 20-32 hours, depending on operational needs and is subject to change dependent on business needs.\nHow You’ll Spend Your Day\nESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY\nAll areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments.\nCarries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.\nPrepares orders for Shipping by Picking, Scanning and Packing in an accurate and timely manner.\nPerforms replenishment activities in a timely and efficient manner; compares product description to restocking requests form and physical location. \nConducts cycle counts and physical inventory as required.\nProcesses returns from customers; classifies back to stocks, damages and expired products. \nPrepares debit memos going back to vendors. \nOperates hand lift, must be able to be certified in power fork lift operation.\nLoads and unloads freight trucks\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. \nMaintains tidiness and cleanliness in the warehouse.\nFlexible, willing to work overtime when necessary.\nYour Skills and Experience\nAny equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.\nEducation/Certification/Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nPharmaceutical distribution experience and/or experience with distribution of perishable goods.\nMinimum of One (1) year of Warehouse work experience.\nSpecialized knowledge of warehouse plans, methods, procedures, and techniques of material handling.\nSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:\nTraining and coaching other warehouse personnel. \nWork as a team member; provide assistance and direction to team members, become a liaison between associates, leads and management. \nBasic mathematical computations and applications.\nBe willing to work overtime, report to work on time during normal business hours, special projects and Saturdays. \nCommunicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. \nAdapt to changes and various assignments. \nDemonstrates a sense of urgency and promptness by using time efficiently and completing assignments on time.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nOccasional:\nIncumbents in this class are subject to extended periods of standing, walking pushing and pulling, stooping, crouching, climbing and walking, occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds. \nIncumbents may be exposed to electrical hazards, and dangerous tools and equipment. \nIt should be understood that this is a hands on position in a fast paced distribution center environment that has multiple daily receiving and shipping deadlines.
