You may upload them on the application under the CV/Resume section.\nQualifications:\nRequired Education and Experience\nMaster's degree in counseling, Student Affairs, or related degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n7 years of related experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree from an accredited college or university.\nCertified Project Manager.\nCertified OSHA Safety Inspector.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAbility to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.\nAbility to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nStrong interpersonal and organizational skills.\nWorking knowledge of office software and instructional programs.\nAbility to orally comprehend and express information and use inductive and deductive reasoning.\nAbility to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff, groups of various sizes.\nAbility to multitask and work cooperatively with others.\nResponsibilities:\nStrategic Planning and Program Development\nLeads the strategic planning for assigned areas and assists the Director in developing and implementing the overall departmental strategic plan.\nDevelops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates career services programs: This includes coaching for graduate and undergraduate students and alumni related to: exploring career options; crafting job search marketing materials; networking and interviewing; evaluating offers and negotiating salary; and transitioning from graduate school to professional or academic positions.\nDirects advising and programming specifically for career counseling, career exploration, resume review, interview preparation, and other career development support.\nConducts annual assessment of effectiveness of programs and implements program improvements based on assessment data.\nDevelops and maintains effective relationships with employers. Establishes connections with a broad base of employers, government agencies, private industries, nonprofit agencies, and school districts.\nDevelops, monitors, and manages the departmental budget to ensure effective fiscal management.\nOther duties as assigned.\nTraining and Resource Development\nDevelops, organizes, and presents workshops, classes, and professional development seminars on job seeking skills.\nDevelops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates career services programs: This includes coaching for students and alumni related to: exploring career options; crafting job search marketing materials; networking and interviewing; evaluating offers and negotiating salary; and transitioning from graduate school to professional or academic positions.\nProvides advising and programming specifically for career counseling, career exploration, resume review, interview preparation, and other career development support.\nDevelops and coordinates career-related educational programs for classes, student organizations, groups of prospective students, new student orientations, and others as appropriate.\nThis may include etiquette dinner(s) and custom workshops and presentations.\nPlans and implements career fairs and other career related forums.\nTrains and advises members of the student government.\nCommunication and Engagement\nCoordinates directly with academic Colleges, employers, alumni, and students regarding the objectives of the internship program.\nCoordinates and oversees processes associated with on-campus interviewing.\nPlans, coordinates, and hosts annual events, including career fairs, graduate fairs, and other professional development activities.\nDesigns, implements, and evaluates student leadership opportunities that enhance learning, involvement in campus life, leadership development, and success outside the classroom.\nPlans, coordinates, develops, and executes University policies, procedures, and practices relating to student leadership programs.\nDevelops and nurtures collaborative relationships across campus to ensure quality program and activity partnerships.\nOversee the development and ongoing maintenance and updating of the departmental web page.\nManages the departmental marketing publications, license agreements, and handbooks.\nAssists in the development and support of partnerships with academic and student life departments to create and enhance student learning.\nPerforms other duties, as assigned.\nWhy Texas A&M University?\nWe are a prestigious university with strong traditions, Core Values, and a community of caring and collaboration.
