The selected candidate will be responsible for writing manuscripts, developing research proposals, and helping with graduate student mentoring and group organization.\nOpportunities to Contribute\nAnalyze and disseminate research findings through group meetings, manuscripts, reports, scientific publications, and presentations.\nPresent research results at group meetings, conferences, and other appropriate venues.\nProvide advice and assistance to other laboratory team members, act as a mentor to students. \nAttend scientific meetings and seminars for research enhancement.\nKeep up to date on scientific research via reading of literature, etc.\nParticipate in writing grant proposals.\nMaintain group software and hardware and follow applicable safety standards. \nQualifications\nPh.D. in Chemistry \nA well-qualified candidate may also possess:\nAbility to work effectively, productively, and efficiently.\nAbility to communicate effectively with other members of the lab.\nAbility to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.\nAbility to exercise discretion, independent judgment and make important decisions. \nExcellent verbal and written skills.\nPresentation skills.\nAnalytical skills.\nAttention to detail. \nSalary: Commensurate\nSpecial Note: This position is funded from grant and/or contract funding, which is renewed through provisions of the grantor of the contract.
